    Just want to say Thank you for making this video. My thermostat screen went blank and wifey started to panic. This did the trick and made me look like I knew what I was doing.

    Holy cow, you guys just made me look like a genius to my family. Thank you so much!!! The AC just stopped blowing cold tonight at our house. After hours with a multimeter, I was convinced my contactor was bad or the thermostat, as I had 24v to the thermostat, but no 24v at the contactor. I could however, press the button on the contactor and the compressor would kick on. So, I decided there was something between the thermostat and the compressor. Not knowing I even had an ez-trap device on my furnace, I found your video and VOILA! Gummed up ez-trap that I cleaned and the compressor came right on!

      @@Ameritechfl Thank You, I just fixed my AC my thermostat was off. I took it out to see if it had bad batteries. Mine does not have batteries (honeywell thermostat th8321wf) so I was just like ????
      Ok let's look at TH-cam. And for my surprise I saw your video. I had water on the line immediately knew I was on the right path. So picked my best flashlight its 9:00 pm when I started, took all the yuck out poured vinegar waited 30 min. It's mosquito time so had to rush it. Poured some water vacuumed a little more. And done 10:40 pm. I'm tomorrow I'll do it again and make sure no gunk is coming out. Thank You.
      Just in case you want to help more, What do you recommend to keep the drain clean? Other than regular filter change?

      🤣😇😊 bro it's what we do. Family will always look to you as a leader. And learning shit we know nothing about and playing the part is a must. Keep learning. And if you don't know, give a quick simple open respond. I'll get it done, I'll figure it out and then ask friends . Don't let your family down.

    Thank you, this tips gonna be helpful as I often do exactly what your video says with the exception of turning my unit off and that may be why my line is not getting clear like it should. Also, I always use a full gallon of vinegar, is that overkill?

  • @GyroPoodle
    @GyroPoodle 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    What if it's a fan coil? how do I input the vinegar? I checked the safety switch and it has water in it, but the actual unit is on the roof... of my condo... that I have no access to unless I'm a licensed contractor.

    So you are pouring that vinegar to the tube with the p-trap, correct ?

    Nice video, if your A/C guy did a nice install then you have what is showed in the video. The only other thing I do is I let the vacuum run and dump more vinegar in both open places then dump a gallon or so of water in to flush the drain out. I live in 34698 so my A/C runs 9 or 10 months.

    Is it common to see drain lines installed like that? It seems like that is the cause of the problem. How is the water suppose to drain out? Seems like a lot of water would have to settle in the line before draining if the line is installed underground, then protrudes up, then hits two elbow joints?

    • @الموريداعسجماجمالخسائر
      @الموريداعسجماجمالخسائر 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is called a P-trap snd basically thst helps prevent negative pressure from building inside the evaporative coil, which in case it does not exist, it will keep pulling that water in.
      Usually p-traps installed right out of the main drain hole at the evaporator.

    I don't understand the emphasis of "if your thermostat is not on." Does this mean if the thermostat is working correctly and there's air coming out that this drain line unclogging method will be ineffective at clearing out a clog? Why can't someone have a working a/c AND a clog, as in someone has a leak due to a clog?
