- Excessively tall staircase paint jobs that require scaffolding might be best left to the experts. For moderately tall jobs, a few easy steps will have the walls and ceilings looking new in no time.
When painting on a ladder or platform, thoroughly check that the ladder and platform cannot slip. If you are uncomfortable with the process, hire a professional. Wear old clothes, protective gloves, hat and goggles when painting.

You don't need to tape up the wall if you're going to be painting it afterwards...

I'm a professional painter. This is painful to watch.
I was just thinking this been painting for 25 years never understood why people scrape the paint off the brush that’s just one thing, covering the walls that your going to paint anyway 🤦♂️

If you're painting the ceiling first, why would you waste time covering the walls that you are just going to paint later?

If you re apply popcorn (ugh) you’ll want it off the walls
Why would anyone be applying that stuff these days?
Cause they don't want to remove 2000sqft of popcorn ceiling to do a patch where there was a water leak or something.

This is perfect. Like I need to test if that would work for the way the stairs a build in my new home but if it works there. That would be amazing. I already managed to find out different ways to reach the ceiling by hand, because I want to handpaint stars but there was that one part that's impossible to reach. And this may be it. So simple but first you got to have the idea. Thank you very much for sharing this!

Nice trick with the ladder! In my case it does not work though... reason is my stairs are round and the high wall is also round and goes around the stairs, which means I cannot have the ladder stand against this round wall... Trying to figure out how to do this.
