It is a brilliant tent, really. I'm surprised how sturdy it is in the wind, considering the tall profile, but the guy lines do their work. I've been down to -12 degrees at the most, but it worked well still. I guess the 4 season label includes heavy snow and blizzards, which I wouldn't use it in, but cold is okay. The small mods I've made is to switch the pegs for bigger ones, just for extra robustness of it, and I'm about to put some string between the lantern hook loop to the mesh pocket as a washing line.

I was considering this tent. I have to say though having watched your video, I'm not likely to go for it. IMO; the sidewalls are far too similar to an A-frame design. No shoulder room at all. Also, it may just be the way you've pitched and guyed it out but the fly is WAY too floppy and loose. It would seem to be resting onto the inner tent. A perfect way for condensation to collect on the inside of the fly and drip in. That would also explain your comment about it being very noisy and floppy in the wind. Thanks for sharing with us.

I am going to wild camp in Scotland this summer. And me and my girlfriend are looking for a budget lightweight tent. We thought the Cloud up 2 was a great option. Now looking at this great review, it is maybe not the best option, because its more like 1,5p tent. Is it still a good tent for a couple that is going camping?

Looking at this as a potential bikepacking tent. Does the vestibule door open from the top as a way of venting the porch when cooking with the door closed? Can't see how would vent the porch when cooking if didn't. Has now become a must on my check list for suitable tent.

    • @AirbornePirates

    • @kindredspirit6654

@@AirbornePirates Unzipped from the bottom.. Seems design flaw to not to have the option of having the door double zipped to br able to open a gap at the top of the door.. Only other venting option woulf be to rely on the rear vent expecting the air flow to move over the inner and out the rear vent.
