Yeah well he does exaggerate his feats. I think my favorite part of watching this video and Jacob's is how differently the decision to pick Absol in the final match is presented. Wolfey: Team Imagine Dragon[air]s had been scheming to come up with a way to stop our Greedent strategy. Absol is one of the few Pokémon in the game that can KO Ludicolo before Greedent shows up, which is something I didn't know going in. I like how Wolfe sees Alpharad’s decision to use absol as a calculated genius play that was the only counter to their plan while Aplpharad just wanted to play his favorite Pokémon.
It's funny to me that counter-jungling is literally one of the most basic techniques in DotA, to the point that dedicated junglers no longer exist, and it's blowing their goddamn minds.
I don't play Unite myself, but the way Wolfe puts it makes it sound like Greedent is the only one with a good enough mobility tool to actually make it over to their jungle in time to steal. If that's true then it makes sense why counter jungling isn't common because no other character is fast enough to do it
even Zeraora at the start of Unite was fast enough but way too fragile to counter jungle and it takes is having a burst carry on jungle duty to stop Greedent. This however would change the Unite jungle meta, so I guess wolfey did something here. At the very least, teach a young game base the concept of counter jungle and show why some games choose to nerf that strat.
@@DrMeisterBabylon Don't see why the strat should be nerfed if there're clear counters to it, but eh. It's not like there are nerfs to the traditional 2 on top/bottom lane, 1 in jungle strat, outside of introducing counters like Greedant.

I respect your team the most for not only having the best win lose record, but for also being the only ones doing such a crazy unexpected strat to catch everyone off guard. Amazing job.
This is a strategy in Dota 2 as well: repeatedly ambushing the enemy jungler (very greedy to have one in Dota 2) with your support(s), and make the jungler a non-factor for the rest of the game.
Fun to watch and I enjoyed the explanation of how it all works. Not a moba fan so that was helpful! Thanks for taking the time to do the edit (you or your editor!) as I probably wasn't going to watch an entire twitch stream of this
Love seeing you show of Unite! It was amazing seeing the numbers on twitch being 10x what it normally is. This whole tournament really helped show off the game, and hopefully more people start playing it. Would love to see you do more Pokemon Unite in the future!
The tournament was just unite in a nutshell. No matter how good you are or how much of a lead you have, a single mistake is a loss. What fun, such enjoyment
Okay Wolfey, your videos made me buy pokemon sword so I can test 2v2 battles myself. Turned out to be super fun, so thank you for that. Now you made this video and seeing this grand theft skwovet there is no way i'm not gonna try it. Thank you for content
I know you said he invited random content creators but I did not expect to see some names I actually know besides the poketubers when you showed the teams at 5:46, lol. (I'm probably most familiar with Caleb Hyles and TierZoo's content on this list) Also, well done making this video absolutely entertaining to an audience that isn't actually interested in this particular game (talking about myself here)!
I hope you continue to upload Pokemon Unite content Wolfey! I used to watch content from another youtuber called Verlisify but stopped after seeing how most of his “meta” videos are based on playing solo Q only, which doesn’t really translate into competitive 5v5, plus he is a little rude in his videos which make me turn off the volume while watching his gameplays. This is the most entertaining Pokemon Unite video I’ve seen, and it is the type of content the Unite community needs.
as my first content from Unite, this was such a fun vid to watch! I always love these sorts of strategies, even if they don't guarantee a win every time it still feels like so much fun to be confusing the other team/players rather than just picking OP glass cannon every time. And, of course, it's even better that you guys did nearly win the whole thing!
One of my favorites wideos you've made lately! I do wish the pacing of the video was slightly slower sometimes it's hard to keep up, but I also understand you were trying to make these shorter videos. 💜
As an original Pokemon fan, I thought Pokemon UNITE was boring spinoff game. But this video got me thinking that the game is really fun and strategic and I'm interested in it. After all, I've been playing it for over a year now and I'm at Master Rank 1600. Thanks Wolfey
I'm not an expert in Pokémon Unite, but I think the best thing you should do if a rodent is burglaring in your jungle and you didn't expect it is trying to sneak past them and go into their jungle. Let the rodent do your side, you take his and get somewhat even, and even if he follows you it doesn't put pressure on your laners. You'll break close to even eventually.
The beginning is cracking me up. “This is a totally unconventional way to play the game” is such a weird statement because invades are SOOOO common in league, which I played extensively (regrettably) before I played unite. The fact that you guys lost one game and it lost you the whole tournament is… kinda annoying I won’t even lie. BUT, I guess that’s what cheese gets you. Still hilarious. Congrats on the wins, guys!
Invading at level 1 is completely different than counter jungling the entire game. Invades are fairly popular, but you won't really see full time counter jungling since only a handful of champs can get away with it.
Wolfey to Alpharad: "Aha! The student has now become the teacher! Get schooled, buddy!" *Wolfey has to rematch Alpha* Wolfey: "Oh." *Alpha picks Absol, just to counter Wolfey* Wolfey: "Oh... But at least our win/loss ratio's on-fleek, bois!" I loved every bit of this XD
I love how Wolfe gets credit for "breaking" the game when the idea was brought to him by Aaron Traylor. Always riding in the coattails of Taylor's success, just like in VGC. ❤️
Wait, the 2nd place before the final round got basically a rematch chance against you but you didn't get a rematch chance against them? That sounds kind of stupid. A tiebreaker between the 2 teams that are second is understandable, but that shouldn't lead into a final match without a losers bracket, which would have given you a rematch chance.
Seeing "pokemon unite" made me super uninterested and i passed over this video which was a huge mistake, this is an excellent story and very well told.
When I saw in most of other streamers’ POV that you were stealing their jungle as Greedent, I thought “That’s the Wolfiest thing that could happen in this tournament”

Wolfy you've just become a legend thanks to this, this absolutely top tier entertainment
I like how the Sword and Shield games introduced an actual burglar fox and the true king of thieves is the fat squirrel.
Thanks for taking the time to do the edit (you or your editor!) as I probably wasn't going to watch an entire twitch stream of this
We are watching a villain’s origin story unfold before our very eyes 😂
Love seeing you show of Unite! It was amazing seeing the numbers on twitch being 10x what it normally is. This whole tournament really helped show off the game, and hopefully more people start playing it. Would love to see you do more Pokemon Unite in the future!
Best Wolfe video I’ve watched! So entertaining great job
The tournament was just unite in a nutshell. No matter how good you are or how much of a lead you have, a single mistake is a loss. What fun, such enjoyment
The stream was so great to watch Wolfe!
This video was amazing, I don't find myself laughing out loud at most things but couldn't stop myself multiple times in this, nice run Wolfe!
(I'm probably most familiar with Caleb Hyles and TierZoo's content on this list)
Also, well done making this video absolutely entertaining to an audience that isn't actually interested in this particular game (talking about myself here)!
0:34 Garen wolfey is too powerful for this world
I hope you continue to upload Pokemon Unite content Wolfey!
That was awesome!! This video should come with a lactose warning because that was some major cheese!
as my first content from Unite, this was such a fun vid to watch! I always love these sorts of strategies, even if they don't guarantee a win every time it still feels like so much fun to be confusing the other team/players rather than just picking OP glass cannon every time. And, of course, it's even better that you guys did nearly win the whole thing!
Hey Wolfe, hope you’re doing well and having a great day! 😊
Bruh he didn’t notice you
This is fantastic communication and taking action😊
WolfeyVGC playing with Amouranth is the 2022 content crossover we all deserve
One of my favorites wideos you've made lately! I do wish the pacing of the video was slightly slower sometimes it's hard to keep up, but I also understand you were trying to make these shorter videos. 💜
I watched the entire stream. The greedent strat worked unbelievably well
As an original Pokemon fan, I thought Pokemon UNITE was boring spinoff game. But this video got me thinking that the game is really fun and strategic and I'm interested in it. After all, I've been playing it for over a year now and I'm at Master Rank 1600. Thanks Wolfey
"We laughed, we cried, and we made a lot of people very unhappy with a burglar disguised as a squirrel" is in immaculate quote
I love cjya’s reaction when he sees wolfey
Alpharad: “Leave it to Wolfey to come up with the cheesiest strategy”
SAYS ALPHARAD LORD OF CHEESE
This was so good. The salt is real and I love a good unorthodox strat. Good stuff mate
Wolfey to Alpharad: "Aha! The student has now become the teacher! Get schooled, buddy!"
*Wolfey has to rematch Alpha* Wolfey: "Oh."
*Alpha picks Absol, just to counter Wolfey* Wolfey: "Oh... But at least our win/loss ratio's on-fleek, bois!"
I loved every bit of this XD
So many awesome people in this tournament! Glad you did so well!
I love how Wolfe gets credit for "breaking" the game when the idea was brought to him by Aaron Traylor. Always riding in the coattails of Taylor's success, just like in VGC. ❤️
I was not expecting to see RT and wolfey in the same video today
Wait, the 2nd place before the final round got basically a rematch chance against you but you didn't get a rematch chance against them?
That sounds kind of stupid. A tiebreaker between the 2 teams that are second is understandable, but that shouldn't lead into a final match without a losers bracket, which would have given you a rematch chance.
Since alpha is the host it's his rules I guess
This was very entertaining. Thank you Wolfe
I love the editing of this vid, and your greedent plays are amazing
That greedent strat isn’t to unorthodox. It’s common on him. In other mobas, what you’re doing is called invading.
great video you can tell alot of work was put in this and this community appreciates you and your editors.
12:12
In game: "😄😄WOOOOOO LETS GOOOO!🎉"
Narration"😐we were ecstatic😐"
15:40
the perfect segment for “emotional damage”
Seeing "pokemon unite" made me super uninterested and i passed over this video which was a huge mistake, this is an excellent story and very well told.
The fact that all of these content creators are now part of the WolfleyVerse canon blows my mind. There's no telling who may make an appearance next!
Greedent is so much fun. You can feel it when the opponents hate you and I love it. XD
Well done, great video. :)
The meta has changed enough but I can assure that a lot of unite players still have ptsd from those greedent invaders
You may not have won but every other team walked away a fear of Greedent and that's what matters.
12:58 “How do I stop this chat”
Wolfy, “That’s the thing you don’t”
When I saw in most of other streamers’ POV that you were stealing their jungle as Greedent, I thought “That’s the Wolfiest thing that could happen in this tournament”
Very well played, seems like the title was snatched away at the end there
that was *incredible*, gotta love seeing streamers I recognize get utterly bamboozled
