I wholeheartedly agree George! I was born in the late 50's. Most of my inspiration came from the 60's and Glen was probably the biggest. Started playing professionally in the mid 70's and Glen is still an inspiration to this day. "His was a gift from God!"

When Glen rips into that solo on Galveston, it reminds you what a world class guitarist he was. It also shows how when a Stratocaster is in the hands of a master player, it is the sweetest, most versatile and vest looking guitar ever. The tone coming from that Strat is phenominal.
So VERY GRATEFUL for Him; he made me so very HAPPY in young years. The old Legends die but their LEGACY lives forever; thank GOD there were Video recordings, also. The Dude was AWESOME.

Was in Walmart a few days ago and "Galveston" came on the PA. I was surprised to find myself suddenly stopping and getting chill bumps -- most unusual. I had forgotten how much I liked his voice. What a talent. Can't wait to see him in heaven.

He sings every song as if he wrote it himself, which he may have written some, but a great inspired genius delivery, rendition, and interpretation of even his own earlier songs.
Miss him. He brings back great memories of my teen age years, a true genius and talent. Yes Glen I still hear those sea waves crashing and I really do need you more than want you and those great memories. I'll always keep that sleeping bag stashed behind my couch. You sure were gentle on our minds.
