I miss road biking so fucking much. End of 2018 I got smashed by a car that blew a stop sign @ a 2 way stop intersection. 100mi rides, 900mi tours, was training for the dirty kanza. I don't think I'll ever trust drivers enough to ride the roads ever again, I couldn't walk or talk right for 100days and it was all brain injury. Didn't know my name for 8 hours after impact. I ride all of the very very few mtb trails near me when its dry enough but its a slushy muddy winter at the moment. I miss riding thru the city late at night Stay safe everyone and always spend more $ on lights. I was lit up 2 whites 2 reds but apparently not enough

Cooles Video.
hello I have been watching your channel for a long time even though I love what you are doing I also dream of buying even a bike I have no case I have no money to buy even a cheap bike I do not have enough money to buy I really dream of having a good roadbike case I really have no money seeing I'm doing you, I'm even more impressed because the bike you are making will be expensive and not just a bike, it 's really expensive, maybe you can give it even if it' s cheap im from philippines
Thank you for this great video. Can you tell me what kind of tool used to pull the hydraulic lines through the frame and fork and press the end stops into the lines?
Not only is a slammed stem not ideal from a functional bike fit standpoint, it’s not efficient at producing the best long term comfort to average power output potential over long rides.
Exactly 1270 grams for the wheeset (and doing the best to hide it is without disks!). That means almost 1.5 kg for the wheelset, I can build 990g tubular wheelset for $600... Then you don't need the fancy outageous shmolke carbon parts and can ride with a real saddle...
Great build except positioning those sti levers and the di2 cable on top of the drops straight in the hand :( What tool does he uses to get the hoses thru the frame? Looks better than the park tool tool I use.
This bike was really easy to assemble th-cam.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.
ayos lodi ,gusto ko yan pagbubuo ng road bike , alam muna dream ko rin someday magkaroon ng medyo dekalidad na roadbike kapag nakaipon tapos ganyan din gagawin ko build bike assebly ,thanks for the tips.
Sweet bike, and lovely build, but please for the sake of humanity, dont pull the black tape... and also wrap the bar tape so when you hold onto the bars its pulling down on the tape not pushing away.
Just visited the Schmolke site, for the seatpost, stem, bars and wheels would be around $6k CAD lol let alone the groupset, frame, build cost etc. Quite the amazing but expensive dream 😁
It clearly says 612.5g on the scale for that special edition stripped frame so I don't understand how they are claiming that the frame weight is 585g???

The best looking frame I’ve seen in awhile.
Holy Schmolkes that's a nice build.

A superb bike for pure fun.
As always: Superb video production. And my gosh these Specialized bikes are in a league of their own. Keep it up!
They are obviously not.
@@mieserpeter6083 :)
You clearly don’t realize the piss poor quality that specialized produces
Seemed like only 25% of this bike is specialized
This bike is a cheat code.
Exquisite! Bike and Edit.
Great you like it! :)
Whoa! Love this video. I'm not a mechanic. Absolutely marvel at the precision. Thank you.
Love the Di2 cable routing!

Exceeds expectations!
👍
That’s a beautiful build.
This is how I would build it except I'd use Meilenstein's, probably a Darimo post and no PM.
Bravo.
A dual sided PM adds about 30-40g. No reason to avoid them.
The video shows, upon installation, 30 teeth biggest cogs for the cassette at 15:34. But the last part says Shimano Dura Ace 11-28.
These videos are amazingly well done. So cool!!!
very good sound! Th u
Great you like it! :)
@@roadbikechannel Yes, sure
That bike is crispy...
That is bling.
Fabulous
Thanks! :)
Wow! Thats my dream bike
Superb. Thanks
Superb parts!
Lets use some of the lightest parts possible!
There's a little of bike in this carbon..
I wonder how much shock and stress could this frame handle especially when driven on imperfect urban streets. Does it need to be treated like a baby?
An absolute crime that this isn't available as a rim brake version
OMG the Spacers
Spettacolo!💯💯💯
Nice build! Imagine the weight if this was rim brake...
Around 3.5 kg i guess
Ax-lightness has the vial evo disc 5,4kg with red 22 mechanic and 5,6kg red etape axs !!
Nice
I’d like to see that keep up with a giant sl
Very light! With pedals, saddle and tyres for the real world, could be under 6 kg!
That's a sweet bike 😘😘😘
I want this frame as a fixed gear!

Insanely light! I'd be afraid I'd break it...
That hood placement tho...
so droopy

well if you want lightest.
go single chainring, no FD.
and swap for bigger/smaller chainring for climbing, or touring.
Other then that great looking bike
My wrists hurt looking at those levers. 🤭
Could have saved some weight by ditching the spacers and trimming the steerer tube.
Not only is a slammed stem not ideal from a functional bike fit standpoint, it’s not efficient at producing the best long term comfort to average power output potential over long rides.
Now imagine it with tubs, rim brakes and pressfit bb.

well the marketing victims fall for it

Add the bottle cages, pedals and head unit and you're just shy of 6kgs.
The crankset and the bike computer combined cost more than my bike...I can only own a bike like this in my dreams lol. Nice build though.
for the bartape's price I could upgrade like, half of the dying components on mine
had the SRM switched to the Dura Ace crankset ... would have dropped more grams .
Great build except positioning those sti levers and the di2 cable on top of the drops straight in the hand :( What tool does he uses to get the hoses thru the frame? Looks better than the park tool tool I use.
I have the same clinchers. Yep.
great build! anyone recognize the tool he uses to press the insert into the brake hose? I'm sick of the shimano tool..
Yeah, I think you are looking for this.

Very nice build over here, always cool to watch a 20 min. long video of quality bike assembly!
Question: Which green grease do you use? ;)
Its the standard Shimano grease
@@roadbikechannel Thanks for the reply!
Hello, where can I find a list of the components for this build?
Hey, I got one. what a bike! it's sick nice and I'm slowly forgetting how much I paid for ny Pro. Get Uno!
Finally a mechanic that applies grease with brush and not with his fingers, like an animal.
Got some drip to it tho !
Wow!

There's no bump-relief loop on the shifter wire connected to the shifter?
Love

What tubes are those?? Look like Tubolitos in construction, but I've never seen clear inner tubes.
Those are the new Schwalbe Aerothan tubes :)

There is an even lighter version of that Gelu saddle.
I know that if I have to ask the price, I can't afford it, but out of curiosity.... What's the price on something like that?
A quick guess when looking over the specs would be around 18K maybe even more.

Five point six kilograms 😱

What a beauty Great work how much do you want for it lol
No free turning Spintest. I wonder why...
price
hard to say since it's an absolute custom build... probably you'll end up around 12k Euros ;).
Who makes the brake discs?
just present me this monstr bike please!
What are the brake rotors??
found it in title @ the end of video -- "TUNE Disc Brake Rotor Kill Hill"
Are these 55mm carbon wheels or 60mm?
They are 45mm high
5.5kg 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤

It clearly says 612.5g on the scale for that special edition stripped frame so I don't understand how they are claiming that the frame weight is 585g???
But there is the derailleur hanger which is mounted and the mount for the front derailleur which is adding the weight
I saw that too....maybe that's with components
The missinglink is in the wrong direction 😅
Can I get one at Walmart?
Unlikely, but you never know your luck!
I saw one at Target recently.
What size was the Frame?
It’s a 56

Very light, but unrealistic. I don't know anyone that can endure riding a saddle like that on big long climbs....
