@@bimapringgo it's true, but Maradona's goals also was scored against crappy defenders and a weak goalkeeper and doesn't make the goal less incredible.
Gio van Bronckhorst's worldie is probably my favourite goal ever that I've seen live on TV. You can't hit the ball better than that. Absolute perfection.

Cambiasso for Argentina needs to be mentioned. Can't remember who it was against but it had like 45 passes or something before the ball hit the net, it was a superb goal. Argentina also scored a majestic free kick against England in 98 that never gets a mention yet is one of the best 'team' free kicks you will see.
I got to see Pele play. Awesome I was a goalie in my youth. Damned good too. Top ranked. Always watch the feet and the ball. The ball scores the goal not the person kicking it. The feet will tell you where the ball is going...
Notice a couple of things: 1. She said football 👍🏻 2. Maxi Rodríguez is not lefty 🤯 3. Impossible to please everyone with a top 10 of goals of a tournament that began in 1930 🤷🏻♂️
That Saudi goal should be ranked higher than this. It looks not dissimilar to Maradona's "Goal of the Century", except he started even deeper in his own half, he ran faster, and the goal was just as improbable.
Well Zidane's panenka deserved to be here. Not only did he made that in the most crucial moment but that he did to prime buffon and the sheer grace is still isn't matched
Michael Owen's goal against Argentina in 1998 definitely deserves a mention, especially as that was a goal that made Owen a bigger household name. This list should of been a top 20 since there has been more than 10 brilliant World Cup goals honestly.
I'm from Argentina and I must agree. It was a beautiful show of skill. It was unfortunate Owen's career never reached it's full potential, because he was an amazing player.
Fun fact: Pavard, for his banger vs. Argentina, was awarded the FIFA World Cup Goal of the Tournament Award for the 2018 Tournament It was also the first time (and so far only time, unless someone from Argentina wins the FIFA World Cup Goal of the Tournament Award for 2022) the award went to someone who was part of the team that won World Cup

Tim Cahill had an incredible volley, Honda had an amazing free kick in 2010 and literally all of Diego Forlán goals in 2010. All better than Richarlisons goal in my opinion 😅
the fact that u put in richarlison’s goal and not Van Persie’s goal means that u kno nothing about great goals, so what ? any one can do an acrobatic like his but no one can fly like the flying dutchman JUSTICE FOR VAN PERSIE

Not a long shot, and no acrobatics, but a beautiful team effort where every step and every touch of the ball is carried out perfectly. The catharsis of the story of that whole game is completed by this 10 seconds short sublime, full fieldcrossing counterattack...
Saudi Arabias's goal against Belgium is almost the same as Maradona's goal...but better ...James Rodriguez goal should be way higher...it was awarded the best goal of the year not just the WC.
2026 Cup is gonna be epic; 3 organizing Countries basically the whole North America Continent. 50% more teams, meaning almost surely all the "great" teams will be present, because currently there's always 3-4 historic ones that miss the tournament because of how many countries there are and how competitive the qualifiers are. But with more room they will for sure attend, as well as many teams that have never gone, particularly in CONCACAF which will have its 3 big ones already in, leaving more room for Central America and the Caribbean.
