+Dan Barrett Sorry to hear that. 8 tracks ruined a lot of songs for me, in a way. I still can pinpoint the track change on a lot of great songs from listening to them so much.
@@amethystwright9592 I bought vinyl and recorded it with an 8-track recorder. Better sound, no track changes in the middle of extended songs, and longer life than factory 8-tracks.
i didn't appreciate steve marriot until i was 60 years old. what a great singer. but on this song these two guitar players rock. marriot is great and peter is out of this world
There are some bands that are just best left to do studio and then there are those who do their best work performing live and Pie is one of those bands. Absolutely kickass!
Bought this album in 71 along with the Allman Brothers live at Fillmore and played them constantly for the next year and a half. It's great to hear it again, and I don't think I fully appreciated just how incredible that voice was. Thanks for posting.
To fully appreciate Marriot's voice, be sure to go back and listen to his work with the Small Faces. It's very impressive. He's kind of a male Janis, except that he's also an excellent guitarist!
Baddest fuckin' live Jam ever recorded in my "Humble" opinion. I have been listening to this for 25 years and it still sends shivers down my spine. Marriots vocals and Framptons playing...need I say more? Peace.

Frampton's mistake was to try to become a solo singer-songwriter, which tended to distract attention from his superb playing. (Clapton sort of made the same mistake but then wised up.)
