i happen to own the car you have (2,0 tsi DSG), most of the things (space) you pointed out are not that big of a deal. I'll admit, opening the boot is a nightmare. Sometimes i open the boot with the key still in the ignition, then i close the door a bit hard and it closes the boot as well, then i have to go all the way back in the car to open it again.

My bad, i missed that. I do agree then, they are things you can live with. I hope you're enjoying the car though, it is a lovely drive and looks amazing as well. I'm hoping to upgrade to an R soon, fingers crossed.

weird video, i hate the beautiful little sporty coupe i bought because it doesnt have the room of a bigger car. sell it and then think more carefully about the next car you buy, sciroccos are amazing

Parts for Scirocco are expensive? What are you talking about? This is Golf with different body. Same chassis and engine parts.
I’m not talking about engine parts. I’m talking about exterior parts like bumper, mirrors, headlight ecc 😉
Those are the 5 things that make this car unique... The scirocco is an acquired taste, if you hate all those things then why not get a golf 6 gti?

This is relatively speaking a lot of space for a coupe.
Specifically, back seat I mean.
Why so much hate? He just said what he don’t like about it. This things didn’t came to my mind when I was looking to buy one. It is helpful for people that want to buy one.

You definitely bought the wrong car for you expectations and the DSG is one of the best in the market, how can you say that?! You know you have sport mode and still you can change manually. Think better next time your priorities for a car because space and rear view you'll not have or will be very limited in a coupé. Enjoy that amazing car.

Instead of storing your sunglasses in the passenger-door bin, you could try the *sunglasses holder* in the roof 🙄 (It’s in front of the interior lights, you push the spring-loaded lid to open.)
There's no space for the sunglasses :)
Great video!I am going to buy this car, but it is very good to know the things that are not Nice about it, to make a good desicion. Espacially about the part costs. I think most people that dont like the video have the car and dont like to hear it, but why not? You have the car, so you stil must love it ;)

It uses the same footplan as the mk6 golf so just use golf parts and you moaning about space etc, why buy a hatch back lol that's the whole point of a hatch back.

I can agree with the visibility with it being shit but with the dsg gearbox you can simply have the car remapped and that will improve the gear ratios and so on

The trunk is alright for me, because when it's deep, I can put more stuff in there.

I think he don't know why he bought this car and what pleasant it can give to the owner. I have this car from 2008 unti today whith one kid and many trips. Its amazing fan of driving pleasant and a unique design. A sport coupe with four seats you must not have complain about space or the way that open the trunk or anything else because you must know what car you gone to buy before you buy it.
I bought mine and I had a mk7 variant. Wheres my space from the trunk i want to store 3 babystrollers in it also i will put an mk6 hatch on it so i will have a bigger window.
Let me say this if you dont like these things you would have sold it a long time ago.
Only thing i hate in my scirocco are the plastic inside doorhandles

There are some really annoying things about my scirocco, 2.0 tsi dsg , standard is too slow, sport is ridiculous, there should be eco/standard/sport, my last car was a megane rs mk2 , millions of compartments and cubby holes, 2 click remote closed sunroof/windows/mirrors. sciroccos you have to press and hold for the windows to go all the way up, then mirror heating is not on with rear window demister . best thing i activated with obdeleven was big speedo do it if you havent already.
I’ve heard the seating position isn’t great ... can anyone please fact check this for me ?
the seating position it is ok. i found if you are tall more than 1.80m you probably want the seat goes lower. i found the seat in my golf mk6 is lower than the scirocco. this is the only complain. the confort instead is great :)
if you want to look back just look in the two side mirrors ;) easy to park that way
The clunky dsg does does bother me on pulling off but I've got used to it now
@RazRes brother have you tried opening the trunk using the logo ? it folds as a way to open the trunk usually
Only on 2014 models the older ones didn't have that feature

Dude you think it's a problem that the baggage space is deep? Seriously now? I also have a scirocco and the only "problem" this car has is that you can't see almost nothing behind when you move in reverse

Are there known issues with DSG?
with the 6 speed DSG gearbox no issues. it's a very strong gearbox. you have only to change the oil every 60.000km.

@@ckasg1 if you looking for a 2.0 tsi 211bhp, try to not buy the 2009 and first half of year of 2010, because they have some engine problems. if you choose a 2011 or newer no problem. look for the service done to the engine and DSG ;)

Which model is this as I have noticed it has a flappy paddle gear box. I am a 17 year old and this would be my first car and I generally like the idea of a flappy paddle. Could anyone inform me if this comes standard on any of the 1.4. models. Any help is appreciated. Thank you
there are only a metal extension i have added. they are not original. the original paddles are smaller and they are made of plastic.
