Nissan NV400 - test drive

Nissan is out to increase its stake in the van market, with the NV400 leading the charge. We test drive this big beast and also see how many construction apprentices you can fit in the back, because, well why not?

Why I haven't seen any of these in New Zealand? Banned or something? What's the reason?

It has a ridiculously bad turning circle. Mine is like trying to park an oil tanker. Hired a merc whilst it was in for a service, and it was like night and day! Also, the rear light clusters are full of gremlins. It’s cheapness shows.

Make sure a convenient Nissan dealership can service your NV400. Most can't. They're not really interested in, or trained on, this Renault SOVAB product.

if Nissan were smart, they would offer this model in Canada. Instead, we have crappy Ford and Mercedes Sprinter that rusts like an old nail...

They would be number one in the World in 2 months if they made these available in the U.S.A. The vans Nissan has for the U.S. are garbage and cant compete with the Euro designs from Benz, Dodge or Ford.

Totally agree. The NV is too ugly and the nose is way too long. Why didn't they just bring the NV400 and modify it to comply with the requirement?
