It’s more or less the same as the RG35xxH. Personally I think it feels more comfortable and the screen seems better, but that may just be because it’s larger.
My first handheld in 15+ years , it’s fire lowkey . Didn’t think so specially for 90$ but I’ve been addicted to, 4.5/5 for sure from me . Runs smooth and resulotion is pretty decent!
Russ from retrogamecorps had a trick where he hangs a large black cloth above his head while filming overhead to reduce glare and reflections on the screen
Great review, I purchased the Anbernic RG35XX a while back and like it a lot. Though, I do like the RGB on the RG40XX. I'll have to check what the differences are between the 35 to the 40. Cosmetic or I suspect processor as well.
Mr Retro Gaming Guy. -- please answer this one question !! You said it has a 128 GB sd card. Then how come Amazon states it only has a 64 GB sd card ??? Also, handhelds that have 128 GB usually sell for $185.
@@BURRITO44 Anbernics will sometimes have both. They come with a 64gb card with a stock image for the operating system and some games, and then if you select the 128gb option you'll get a second card in the second sd slot with even more games.
When I checked , no options means - won’t have all the games in your video. Very disappointed. Only selling with a 64GB sd card. Thanks for your quick response.
@@1968Steve It's the same as any other device like this, just pop the micro sd out, put it into a card reader on your pc, then drag whichever games you want into the proper folder on the sd card. You may have to re-scan the games list after you plug it back into the device, but that's it.
@@1968Steve Sure, but cards that size get a little complicated as you have to format them with the fat32 file system, and windows doesn't like to let you do that easily for some reason. They're also kind of overkill as realistically unless you need to carry the complete libraries of disc based systems with you at all times, you'll struggle to fill that much space. Using your own card with custom firmware can definitely improve your experience over the stock setup, and there are many guides available on TH-cam explaining how to install one.
Have another question for you. On Amazon -- how come there are other manufacturers of the Abernic RG40XX ?? I don’t understand this. I posted this before but my original post just disappeared or it was removed.
I've ordered one of these.. hopefully it's good!

I love it more than my xxh I’ve been playing this way more
They make a lot of handhelds, so they've had a lot of practice at improving things! They'll have tuned into this channel for feedback!

Do the 128GB and 256GB versions come with more games than the 64GB or just a larger extra card?

Can you play with other people online who also have same device
I wonder if my kinhank x3 sd card will load on this
Can you add games via your own sd card?
Yes you can. There are also some great custom firmware options for this.
How easy is it to add games

Can you take and use your own sd card (larger, maybe 256GB OR 512GB)? So maybe you could have more than 1 sd card to increase your library?

I actually wanted to get this but without the Super Mario games I won't even bother.
Sorry about this. For some special reasons, we removed these games, but if you have a PC, you can easily add them to your game card.😉
So easy to add them yourself.
@@litnxt_official I'm poor. I don't have a PC. And I don't know how. 😔
@@JustMark70 If you have a smartphone then you can do it with a USB-C to USB-A cable
These dont come with screen protector. Ordered from Anbernic for $59. Back to school sale going on right now.
