I definitely would choose the 40XX over the Trim UI for the simple fact that’s it’s 4:3. I have the 405m with the same screen and that 4inch size is great and if you throw a nice crt filter on it it really does feel like you’re playing on a portable CRT TV. It’s very nostalgic to me in that way. I wish more company’s would do bigger 4:3 screens like this.
@@Longwittyusername I disagree. I don’t like black bars on the left and right of my 4:3 games. It just doesn’t look very good to me. Also, I like the controls on the 40XX better than the clicky buttons on the trim UI.
It's worth noting that mine came with a 64GB Kioxio sd card - that's actually a legit card that does not need to be replaced. I think that's actually Toshiba.
sub 90? just got it off aliexpress for 54 lol. without any coupon or anything. and its set to arrive friday, shipping only took a week. my only retro handheld so far has been the rp 2 plus. not the 2 s, the old 2 plus that came out just before the 3 (I was mad when they dropped the 3 so soon after i got the 2 Plus). back then it was ~115, my how prices have come down. it's good, but for one i feel like the panel is lower quality, it's ok, not terrible, but it just doesnt pop. these newer devices i see on yt seen to have much better panels so i'm expected a big display upgrade with the 40 xx h. that and the 4:3, since i mostly just care about snes era emulation anyway. so yeah it seems like a turbocharged 2s and cant go wrong with the price i paid. these small horizontal handhelds really check a ton of boxes for me. comfort, portability, price, the 2d emulation i want, analog sticks if desired, etc. i feel like eventually i'd like to get a high end all in device as well, like a logitech g cloud with more power (I had a G Cloud for a while, it was awesome) but thats a total other category of device. heck at this point it's rumored there will be a portable xbox next gen, so i might just end up waiting for that.
The rubber membrane on the dpad and buttons are too stiff, thats the only thing I don't like about mine. I wish it was like the V model, with rubber membrane select/start and menu button.

Agreed, that screen is simply fantastic!
Can you suggest some crt filters?

I like your in depth reviews. Great job!
This is a very high quality review. Great job.
Thanks!
Sub 90? They cost 70 (even from the official store) if you don't use the links from that guy.
Great in-depth review.
Thanks!

Hey easysmx xo5 or t39 which one is better for combat and driving
The T39 is terrible quality, go for the X05. The X05 is actually very impressive for the price.
RGB is completely useless in my opinion
Because this is a budget device
RGB is a girlie fad, a distraction to gaming, adds extra cost and weight and is a pathetic joke around crap joysticks.
Love mine
Happy you like your purchase so far!
I guess after seeing every review on this unit , is fingerprints really going to stop someone from buying it ???
And I got a nice blue card not cheap
How come the sign in streets of rage is blue on the 40xx and purple on the other devices. That’s quite a difference!
The sign flashes multiple colors. Each device is paused on a random one.
@@thiagoaraujos ok thanks that makes total sense. I couldn’t understand whyhe wasn’t mentioning this.
