Your content is so inspiring, I'm doing my own models as well, starting with the tests from my FDM printer before committing to resin. All my models are for a Pose kind of figure, but all that you do I definitely gonna try to make my own joints. Keep up with the channel! I wish I could find a way to sell my figures in Latin America.

I just wanted to ask: we know different types of plastics are used for different parts of an action figure, are you using Tough74 for the whole figure or as an equivalent of a specific type of plastic i.e.: ABS, PVC, POM, etc? If it's the latter, have you figured out sort of an equivalency chart? Thanks again and congrats on the new figures, they look amazing!
Hey there. I thought a lot about how I can best answer this. It is very difficult for me to classify the resins into plastic categories. However, I can provide you with what parts I would print with which resin. for any body parts like biceps, thighs, calves that need to be flexible when heated but solid when room temperature I would print with the M58 + Anti Impact mix 50-50 for any joint parts that do not need flexibility but needs to have some grip I recommend the tough74 for flexible rubber like parts like diapers and overlays like jackets the F39 seems like a great option I hope that helps. I will typically use the same resin for all parts of the figure. I have printed whole figures in Tough74 and also in m58 50% - 50% anti impact. I hope that helps.
I have added a mica powder to resione white resin th72, just be careful not to add to much and add a little at a time, mix it well. I would guess as long as you do not add to much you will be ok.
@@AzrachToys I currently do a 60/40 mix phrozen 4k resin to f69. This gives good detail with a little flex. I'll wait and see what you find, would love a resin i could use right out the bottle that gives the same high detail but better flex results.
I've been using M58 and Tenacious. Do you consider Tough 74 to be stronger and more durable in * thin * parts (1mm diamter for example) without any flexible resin additives? You're providing much needed and useful analysis for us 3D printed action figure creators. Thank you.
I definitely consider this resin much more durable than the M58. However, in my time making action figures over the years I make the parts thicker for strength and durability so most of my parts are fairly durable using most resins.

I have been working in 3.75-4in to 1/18th scale and are most of your figures 1/12 scale? And if you have tried the 3.75in-4in do you have any problems with pins and joints being to small and breaking? I have used F36, flex 72, and my own blend of resin ones. For the flexible resin or tough resins are you using the same settings as in this video?
I have worked on super powers like figure at the smaller 4 inch scale. th-cam.com/video/dmmwWTD-RMY/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared This one is limited articulation but I've also done some more articulated ones that work fine. The joints need to be slightly thicker to make sure they withstand play.
Both have pros and cons. This resin is tighter and grips better so the joints feel really good. The anti impact and m58 mix is softer and more flexible but lacks in joint stability. Overall for the better joints I prefer this new resin. But I'm still wanting to do some experiments with mixing resins.
I recommend checking with Resione or Elegoo they should be able to help you with the settings better. Since I do not have the Saturn 4 ultra, I am not sure how the printer differs from mine.
Yea resin is important but so is sensible engineering. Of you took a day or year off making mafex hopefuls you would realize there are TONS of ways to design a body that doesn’t rely on friction, or bulging shoulders, snap in “pegs” or disc rotating hips. If you broaden your mind and think outside the Mafex box your true potential would be fully acknowledged and utilized. Until then enjoy the ‘Fex complex

The Resione F39 has been recommended to me as well. I am in the process of testing that currently.

I'm thinking of mixing this with some anti impact to add some flexibility. But the th72 might also be a great resin to mix this with.
