      If you ever think about part 2, cover Pookie Loc robbery on Gucci Mane, which went wrong for first one mentioned, but was the one that clearly started from lyrics by Jeezy and put whole Jeezy - Gucci beef on another level (references in their music and murder case for Gucci). Also, Locc 2 Da Brain by Brotha Lynch Hung was mentioned few times as a motivator for crimes.

      You should look more into the Manson stuff, him as well as the unabomber were direct influences of the MK Ultra experimentation. Charles Manson had a get out of jail free card because all the cops were told that him regularly being released on serious crimes was "Above their pay grade."

      You can't make music about crimes but, you must take into account your delivery on vocals but that comes from the intention of writing it. An example is apnea by currents. It's about what would happen if a normal human caught a rapist.

      That’s because you are a normal person and not a psychopath. Every person who commits crimes are all influenced by something. That’s why saying that “x” is the “cause” is so stupid, because if “x” didn’t become the push, then “y” would have. You can’t blame the push and say it was the cause.

    I can confirm you are tripping about the meaning of "bodies". I knew Dave from the DFW music scene and I remember when they wrote bodies. It was a mosh song meant to get the crowd pumped. Clubs like the gypsy tea room and trees were his inspiration for the lyrics; rowdy. He was all heart and a good spirit.

    There’s one I’d like to add that I didn’t see in the time stamps.
    The one that comes to my mind most is Israel’s Son by Silverchair inspiring 2 teens to commit a triple murder back in the 90’s. The lead singer of Silverchair named Daniel Johns was very upset about the idea of one of his songs being a huge inspiration for the murder. It includes lyrics like “Hate is what I feel for you, I want you to know that I want you dead”. To these teens, they took the lyrics too seriously.
    EDIT: I forgot to mention that all the members from Silverchair were 15-16 years old when the murders happened. They seemed to have a rough time dealing with it from interviews I read.

    I'm surprised you didn't mention the murder of Elyse Pahler. It's a very brutal story and probably deserves its own video. The guys who did it happened to listen to Slayer a lot and wanted to do a sacrifice for their own metal band to be successful (plot twist: it wasn't). The victim's parents tried to sue Slayer for influencing the killers and of course it didn't go anywhere -- Slayer was not found liable. The guys all got life sentences after one of them converted to Christianity, confessed, and revealed where her body was. She was only 15. Breaks my heart.

    Very glad that you decided to speak about how some types of music can influence certain thoughts. I feel like the consensus people have nowadays is either they act like music is the root cause of every societal ill, or people act like no one has ever been influenced to do anything ever because of the music they listen to. Neither of those viewpoints is reasonable, and I’m glad that you’re leveling the playing field.

    • @LegendaryTony.
      @LegendaryTony. ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree, it's a good approach to the video because people can take inspirational from literally anything. So, someone can be inspired by a song to commit a crime, but that's ultimately superficial and not the same thing as the root cause of why they did it. Which could be something as complex as mental health issues, or something as simple as peer pressure, and everything in-between.

      While I agree with your statement, people should also keep in mind not everyone is the same. That things affect and influence people differently. For some the fast and chaotic music and aggressive vocals of Metal, Punk, and other types of Rock can be calming and relaxing. Or at the very least therapeutic. For others it sets off their anxiety. As another person might like bright and cheery Pop Songs whith uplifting lyrics. While someone else see's that as cheesy and unrealistic.

    • @RoarTheRapper
      @RoarTheRapper ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TakBonez Oh yeah I totally agree. It’s just we live in a world where generalizations are pretty much held to as truth if you’re around people who have similar experiences. For me, I’m actually pretty easy to please with music and enjoy a variety of genres, especially metal music which I find very relaxing. But I know that that’s not how most people think. They’re not willing to do anything but find confirmation bias.

    Another one was the Virginia Tech shooting in 2007, Seung-Hui Cho had the lyrics to the Candlebox song Shine written on the walls of his dorm room and his roommates heard him play the song on repeat over twenty times before the massacre.
    I think that it's further proof these kinds of things are all in the minds of the killers, that song is positive to a corny degree and sounds so wholesome and harmless that it's still regularly played in supermarkets. The chorus is "Whoa-ho-ah-ho, heaven let your light shine down." and he took it as an anthem for murder. Can't blame Candlebox for that...

    Just read that another motive for Charles Williams was also possible sexual molestation. Long after his arrest and trial, he mentioned being molested by an older man who hung around him and his skating group. In 2011, that man, Chris Reynolds, was sentenced to 40 years for sexually abusing multiple adolescent boys. Of course, not saying this justifies any shooting (in case anyone jumps to that), just that it is a crucial part to understanding where his anger likely emanated from as well as how trauma can greatly change how we perceive things that give us an emotional outlet (i.e. music and art).

    I feel like the music itself isn’t to blame when awful things happen and the person and/or people that are responsible for the action(s) that took place say they were inspired to do so by a certain song or songs because different people could take the lyrics of a song and it makes them think or feel differently from how the song was originally meant. I think that with the James Edwards case, scientifically, the rational part of the teen brain is not yet fully developed, so it makes sense that they would be quick to sometimes make irrational decisions. I feel like maybe if there had been a responsible adult present, that never would’ve escalated into an actual murder taking place. I also think that perhaps James and his friends were a bad influence on each other; maybe it was Chancey’s idea and he kind of peer pressured Michael and James into thinking it was all fun and games.
    I found this video to be very interesting! 🤔

    Manson was such a a little stupid little goofy little guy, blackbird was about the civil rights movement and Paul McCartney's support of it and helter skelter was literally about a roller coaster 💀

    Considering how much Mason’s story has been told and retold. I think you should’ve chosen a lesser known case or added an extra case.

    The ad before this video was a really old school hip-hop song and the lyrics (a positive message about peace and togetherness, in spite of the election, riots and etc.) were scrolling like movie credits and there was a looping gif of a weird looking white-faced monkey/ape-monster thing looking very disgruntled in the background and that's why TH-cam said no to ad-block.

    Surprised you didnt mention the several crimes and murders commited by mental ICP fans and Juggalos.
    As an ICP fan with no interest in committing crimes, it's a fascinating and equally upsetting situation, especially considering that, because of the crimes, Juggalos as a whole were labeled as an official Gang by the FBI.

    I don't believe just because some media is violent it makes people more violent it's a common myth thrown particularly at violent games and music Manson blamed the Beatles probably one of the most commercial bands ever who was reasonably clean cut.
