    Hope you finally find peace in your new house. Those ceiling fans in the living room will help cutting your electricity cost down. My only concern is your security especially after you've given a tour to your potential intruders. Maybe you could place a wood that would block the sliding of the windows easily. Overall I lije the house for you

    If you paint the water tank with black latex paint, it will absorb the sun's heat for warm showers. And you can use rubbing alcohol to quickly and easily remove the paint if you wanted to.

    Usually in that kind of neighborhood, it wud be likely that some owners are actually abroad. And as such are having their decent houses for rent. You are lucky to have found a tranquil neighborhood where you can sleep soundly at night. Most owners of those houses are already "made" in a manner of speaking.

    • @ninja.saywhat
      @ninja.saywhat ปีที่แล้ว

      @@evelinholmes6401 i think that's reasonable as long as there's days ahead notice. my aunt had a house in baguio city which she was renting at the time in the 90s for about the same amount. she rented it to a foreigner as well which i believe was a veterinarian. when the scumbag moved out, the whole house had piss and poop from dogs and cats all over the place. a huge part of the house had carpet even some of the walls and most of the floor and wall was made of wood so imagine the damages and the amount it'll take to fix the house. it was such a beautiful house with big balcony plus less house around. it was surrounded on both sides plus the back with empty lots filled with pine trees and greenery and they are actually part of the property. the 30k rent was actually pretty darn cheap even back then. if she had a monthly inspection agreement with that scumbag tenant, she would have prevented further damage and cost. today that house would easily rent over 100k!

    If you have a smell in a bathroom the chances are its sewer smell. It could mean the trap for the shower or floor drain have gone dry allowing the smell to come up. You have to keep water in those pipes so pour some water down each one and even the sink drain. You have to this periodically on drains you are not using.

    Water the plants early in the morning and late in the afternoon. Avoid watering them when it's too hot. Most plants die due to drowning.
    Get to know your plants. Some thrive more in water while others want more sunshine.
    Collect leftovers and wait for it to become compost. You could use it as fertilizer for your plants. Eggshells are a good source of calcium for your plants.

When i worked in real estate in Iloilo way back, i would come across folks who had multiple houses or lots because they want to invest their money and know only of real estate as an investment vehicle (super ild school conservative folks). Some would buy them for their kids to inherit one day. Seems a shame to just let a house sit empty.

    I was born in the Philippines, I now reside in Los Angeles, CA. I would suggest not giving out blueprint of your house to the public so easily where you live. Filipinos are very smart and really nice people but they can be really bad people and your safety is more important than having "likes" about your home. There's more things to talk about content wise.This is just a friendly advice as it seems like y'all are nice people and I don't like seeing nice people getting hurt. Goodluck to you guys!

    I would say, you don't expect too much in the Philippines, Sir and Ma'am...and you cannot compare Canada and Philippines, either. In other words, you just gonna have to live with what my country and its people has to offer... but you can still enjoy your stay and do not forget, your personal safety still should be your primary concern. Philippines is notorious for "akyat-bahay" (home invasion) thieves.

      No rules. Everyone can enter even street vendors, in many exclusive subdivisions townhouses are not allowed. You cannot divide a lot into smaller portions. Stores and other businesses are not allowed inside and tricycles and even cabs are not allowed to enter. There's not even a side walk but the community looks decent and quite okay for middle income families.
