Ooorah!! 😎👌🏼😎👌🏼
We need to get together to make some vids man!!
Question because Im contemplating a build. Are your front and rear fenders just chopped factory fenders or did you buy them someplace else? I have 2 very clean fenders and it feels wrong to chop them so im trying to find an alternative incase I dont like the build😂
How did you do the seat? I’ve seen most people chop and weld a hoop in the back but I really like the look of yours. You have any pictures or vids? I’m new to the CB world!
The back end is stock apart from the loop i had to cut off that attaches the stock seat and then welded in some flat bar to mount the seat. If you check out classic octane on youtube he has some good videos showing how to do it 👍🏻
Did you have to pay much import tax on the seat? Been wanting to order one myself but didnt know how much extra it would be, cheers
UPS delivered and didn't charge me any import tax, I could have just been lucky though.
Take the slip on off , sounds way better.
It saddens me that people take these old beauties and turn them into something different from what Honda intended them to be, but I can understand why some bikes really need to be brought back to life and this is the best option for them. Some people however take originals that are in excellent condition and forever ruin them. As far as custom bikes go, however, the 550 is the best candidate for this type of build. I wish I could find an affordable 550 in excellent condition. I learned to ride on a '77 CB550, and that sound brings back some great memories.
Nice bike, but seriously find someone to give that a real paint job.
