@@nebadapeba2712 hey no way, sweet. Well….beyond getting it started I haven’t done much. It’s a long weekend here so I’m hopeful I can get on it over the next few days but I know for sure things like tires and likely brakes probably need new…it fired up and ran pretty well but will probably give the carbs some TLC…. If I had more time I’d film the process but time is always the challenge 😀😀 What about yours? Looking good?
I put about 60,000 miles on my 550F bought new in '75. I still consider it the best sounding bike I've ever ridden with the free flowing 4 into 1 Kerker headers I installed. I still have her though she hasn't run in decades and I hope to one day get her back on the road.
@@isaacpinch9854 Great memories in 60,.000 trouble free miles that's for sure. Riding across the 5 mile Chesapeake Bay bridge at night in a thunderstorm without a face shield is memorable. The unmistakable sound of the 4 carb slides opening up and the howl through the Kerker headers will be with me forever. A low side on the highway complete with a rear brake puncture would in my lower leg with a ride to the emergency room just in case makes for a good story later. And of course the riding buddies who have passed on to their reward. The list is endless and I hope to one day get her back on the road. Thanks for prompting me to take a look back.
Great vid, brings back memories of early 80's. I did it twice a day on an RD350 LC and knew the road like the back of my hand. Less cars back then, looks a bit hectic now, stay safe dude.
Man you're bossing that!! Just finished restoring a 500 Four back to original but getting a 550 next and throwing everything at the motor, exhaust and brakes (twin front). Can you tell me if the bike you were riding there has had a lot done please?
I’ve got a cb550 from 78, I thought that was the last year they made them. I didn’t know you can get a 79? Nice sound though. Cape Town area is beautiful!
Lovely! The sound and the scenery and the overtakes, just breathtaking. Does the hand cramping and intermittent no-hands riding result from discomfort due to the clubman bars you installed? I ordered similar handlebars for their looks but am yet to install them.
Those are the breake pads. The problem in them are little tiny copper or brass spills. There’s no manufacturer out there I know who produces break pads with no spills. Drilled rotors help to get kind of rid of the noise.
BEAUTIFUL PLACE BUT A STUPID RIDE. AFTER 4 TO 5 MINS RIDE YOU SHOULD HAVE STOPPED ON THE SIDE TO SHOW WHAT YOU WERE RIDING AND THE BEAUTIFUL 🤩 VIEW OF SUN SETTING IN SUCH AN AMAZING STYLE.
those 70's 4's sound amazing!
Oh my god that sounds good…I just pulled a ‘78 CB550 out of a barn earlier today and can only hope that it will sound like that one day.
Does it
Not yet….
@@northernfarmsim I just pulled a 78 out not too long ago either. What all does yours still need?

a project worth taking on. i’m sure that bike has so many memories associated with it, it’d be a dream to ride it again!

Our pleasure!
Bro was on the fh3 road 😍😍
Sounds great! The bearings a little squeaky though.
It looks like the spot where the ending of No Time To Die was filmed
Love it! What bars are they?
Que lo parió! Que hermoso sonido!
What speedo is that?
¿Cómo se llama ese lugar? Es hermoso.
the blip downshifts thou
lovely sound! awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What exhaust ?
Which mods do you think are to credit for that great throaty growl?
Probably due to the fact that it's straight through!
Do you have any pictures of the bike?
Anyone know what handle bar that is?
amazing place, great bike!
Can anyone tell me what handlebars he's got on? This entire video is fire🔥

A monster ❤
Awesome man
I see some head shake, maybe too stiff suspension, or, unbalance? Except, amazing bike and scenery. Take care.

Sweet fuck I want this bike
I lived in Malaysia and it's pretty hard to find one. Is it hard for u too? I've been really wanted to buy one. Love your vid btw it looks beautiful!
they're super common in the states, but i cant speak for this guy
Life or death
Hand is cramping because of your wrist action when using the throttle...
Wow...incredible..bike sounds great but I'm hearing a rattle..like a loose muffler clamp or something

Lekker bro!
See I'd quite like a bike, but then I'd worry people would associate me with people like this, so I don't know what to do really.
noone can catch you call you hit you hurt you fail you mail you hail you text you follow you bother you
When you ride a caferacer and you spread your hands or hands off to feel the moment
Then test the bike to the limit
Same feeling
dude, it's dangerous to drive on the wrong side of the road :3
Better hug that high vis Bro...
this bike sounds like mole b
Look mom look, no hands!!! A while later...look mom look, no teeth!!!
코너에서 추월하고 .. 곧 강제바접 하겠네
제발 갈때 혼자가시길...
Yeah, but you are riding pretty reckless. Cool it next time.
