Exactly.. u cant get that feeling out of any game apart from maybe Tarkov but this game takes it to another level. Ragdoll physics are one of the most important parts of shooter games imo its what makes it statisfying
yes! 95% of ALL the games get it wrong. It must be because none of the devs have usually never seen or fired a real weapon. For me the quailty gun audio makes at least half of the immersion.
hot take: most multiplayer shooters would be so much better if guns were hard to control. no more death lasers from across the map, you'd have to get in close.
That's just another way of playing shooters. But skilled players would still kill you in a second. The only way to not be killed in a blink is to be faster than the opponent, whatever the type of gameplay you put in your shooter. Even in ARMA, a 1vs1 is a matter of who is the fastest/most accurate

The dev showed a sneak peak of the unique graphics that were a mix of pixel art and advanced lighting and effects filters and soon other games came out in the same style but The Last Night still hasn't been released in 7 years. I guess if you're a dev with a new idea you should wait till your game is ready before promoting it.

Man this has some great features. For example when you picked up the shotgun and said you didn't know about the sight you then fired through corrugated wall and the bullet holes it made, the way the sun shone through was crazy good

True it is progress, but I think it has also come at the expense of design creativity. Those Ps1 - Ps2 era graphics are unmatched at leaving just enough to the imagination that we didn't need hyperrealism to portray, and instead we were more mentally engaged with the art direction than in modern games. Like Call of Duty is adding anime robot bundles (among other cosmetics) to bridge the gap of creativity in a game that has affectively lost it all.

However, I believe you can hook it up to a PC with a 4090 or similar powerful GPU, and just use the headset as a display. I also acknowledge that the Quest doesn’t have a very good display. Perfect game, realism is nearly spot on, gunfire volume, distinct sound of each weapon, rounds snapping past, atmosphere, here's hoping they don't change it
I think that beyond ultra realistic graphics, what makes it so immersive are the animations and camera/movements. Its really well done, as you instantly see it as something real, and not a simulated game version like it usually happen

If they optimize, make more game modes (not a ton, just a few). Challenges, class customization, unlocks etc.. I can see this game working out. Right now it's so bare bones it feels like a high-end asset flip.

I am from the “pong/Atari” generation, and the huge steps that gaming is taking leaves me amazed at how realistic they have become. Jackfrags gives an excellent tutorial and immersive experience for this new cutting edge material. Spot on!
I had a lot of fun playing. The maps look amazing, oil rig is awesome. One thing took me ages was how to pick up rifle in the shooting range! The forest level looks so good but some logs you can't jump over. I like the Drone when you die and you can talk to your team while flying which gives you an advantage, especially in the dark cos you can't see anything without flashlight on but the drones have night vision. The auto lean is even better than the one in Six Days! I loved it.

This is Bodycam, a multiplayer online game, made by two French kids (17 and 20) that basically yes has the same idea visually and mechanically as Unrecord. The difference is they’ve actually been putting out the game and making it real, even in this play test just in the first day of releasing it they already patched it 3 times. It goes early access for everyone next week on the 7th. Unrecord still has no news or anything even after years.
