    Got the miyoo mini+ and my 35 has been in a drawer since. Was playing 35 everyday before I got the mini plus. Initially, I didn't like the miyoo screen quality and the 35 was much better in comparison but when started tinkering with the display settings, I found a combination between hue, saturation, etc and now the quality is much better than the 35. If for whatever reason you're curious, the combination that I landed on was 0, 15, 20, and 15.

    • @SubwayZ
      @SubwayZ ปีที่แล้ว +1

      very weird...for me the mini + has a better screen out of the box in my opinion

    • @DQ333
      @DQ333 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I've got two Miyoo pluses and the screens were slightly different, but both paled in comparison to the RG35XX which looks crisper, vibrant and brighter. I need to try your settings. Anyway, Both Miyoo's had issues, one horrible screen bleed, and the other, sketchy dpad input. Had to combine both to get the best . Honestly the RG35XX oozes quality in comparison. It doesn't creak, it feels solid for the most part, descent sound, and with Garlic, it's pretty bad ass. While I think the aesthetics of the Miyoo look better, the speakers are worse, so is display, and the overall build quality and QC. Battery is obviously better, but not by much. Was surprised to find issues after ordering two mini's in the past with zero problems. Oh well.

      I have the Anbernic RG 351P. It has better specs than the Miyoo Mini Plus and it's a bit cheaper. It comes with a free Wi-Fi dongle. for internet use like game scrapping and retro achievements.
      For me the 35xx is a better value for money because it's cheaper. If you don't mind not using retro achievements or not even playing multiplayer over WiFi then this is good enough.
      For me the 351P is way better than the Miyoo Mini Plus because it has better specs and dual joysticks which is really good for ports, FPS like Doom and other platformer games like Shovel Knight and especially Scummvvv games or point and click games. It is also much comfortable playing the port of Diablo because of the joysticks.

    However, I wish that it was taller. With my big hands, it feels somewhat awkward to hold. I have concluded that handhelds, especially vertical ones, are hard to control accurately. I think that a horizontal portable game system would work much better.

    so do you think that garlic os is better than batocera?

    • @DadDude
      @DadDude  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For me, yes. I like that it's all-around faster. But if you want to tinker with things and push the 35xx to its limits with stuff like N64 and Dreamcast, go for Batocera. Batocera is improving all the time and has better support for these higher-end systems now. But for me, it's still hit-or-miss, the boot times are much longer, and Garlic is just more enjoyable for what it is.

    • @DadDude
      @DadDude  ปีที่แล้ว

      In my opinion, yeah. Garlic does everything I want it to. You can push the performance with Batocera (which has been improved since the time of this video) but your mileage with this device can only go so far. It wasn't really worth it to me to try and squeeze N64 and Dreamcast out of this thing.

    • @DadDude
      @DadDude  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@syahzanizaidi5909 I haven't tried them out personally. My understanding is that the more expensive V model has more RAM, Android support, and a touch screen. If you don't care about playing Android games or using the touch screen, in-game performance seems to be basically the same on the cheaper VS. Again, I can't speak from personal experience here. I'm just going on what I've seen/read.

      Not if you back up your files first or use a different microSD card. Just make sure you save all your files on your PC first and then add them to the card with GarlicOS.

    • @DadDude
      @DadDude  ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends. If you want to put a lot of CD-based games on there, I'd go for something bigger. I swapped for a 128 GB card and filled it up with a bunch of PS1 games.

    • @DadDude

      Yeah, I stand corrected. I didn't think it would happen. I tried out the updated Batocera a bit and was impressed, but ultimately not enough to switch from Garlic. I just love how speedy Garlic is in comparison. And N64 is still really hit or miss and requires overclocking and tinkering for most games.
