  • Tamiya RZ, BZ and TZ super stock motor ball bearing upgrade installation video. Believe it or not the stock motors are equipped with bronze bushings instead of ball bearings. This video is going to show you how to remove and install the ceramic hybrid ball bearings.

Excellent video, I am getting the Super Stock BZ motor and will be replacing the ball bearings straight away. Your method for "sandwiching" in the bearing is a great idea.

I have had terrible luck getting the ball bearings out of the metal bell. The plastic and bell is fine those basically fall out and I can replace them basically by just pushing them in with my finger but the bushing that is in the metal side of the motor will not come out. I can bang it out, and it really does take a lot of force to get the bushing out and using the arbor method that you have, which I tried myself I deformed and destroyed two bearings that I tried to insert into the housing. I even attempted to use the wood from a broom handle, turn the metal upside down and press it in from the magnet side , and it doesn’t work I tried using a puller broke the bearing I tried, banging them in with a wooden doll, destroyed the bearing

Wow I’m speechless. I’ve done 4 of these motors and never had any issues like this. Three RZ and one BZ motor. I cannot imagine that struggle. Sorry you had a hard time with it.

If you are using one of those three motors then yes it will work. Doesn’t work on the stock silver can 540.

they are cheap skates. if the bearings sell for $40 and the motor for $60, what kid is gonna buy $100 motor for their rc?
