Today I visit the gravesite of actress and director Penny Marshall, who played LaVerne DeFazio on the 1970s sitcom LaVerne And Shirley.
I also visited the gravesites of Garry Marshall, at Forest Lawn in the Hollywood Hills, and Phil Foster and Harvey Lembeck at Eden Memorial Park in Mission Hills, California.
Thanks for joining me on another nostalgic road trip and trip down memory lane to the cemetery.

I can't believe Penny Marshall is gone it felt just like yesterday I was watching Laverne and Shirley. Time go by so fast
This makes me realize how quickly life goes. Laverne and Shirley was a huge part of me growing up. Penny Marshall was such a great actress.
Laverne and Shirley was one of my favorite TV shows, never missed an episode. It's good to see she's resting next to her brother. Thank you Steve, have a great day, God bless you, take care and safe travels💕

It still hasn’t quite sunk in for me that Penny is really gone. I’m glad she’s in such a peaceful spot next to her brother. ❤️

They just don't make comedies like this anymore. And they never ever will. Laverne and Shirley were two of the best. Another phenomenal Happy Days spin-off. This was really nice Steve thanks a lot and yes... It does seem like yesterday.

I watched every Friday!!! I was a pre-teen and couldn't go out. So it was Happy Days then Laverne & Shirley. "We're gonna do it our way, yes our way, make all our dreams come true, for me and you"!!! Still love the song to this day!
Penny was such an outstanding director! I love A League of their Own. I also love how they use their friends from L&S. Carmine, Squiggy, etc. Both she and Garry were great about that.
Always watches Laverne & Shirley then we watched Happy days

Loved Laverne and Shirley, great TV show never missed it, Penny and Gary Marshall were so talented. I also remember Harvey Lembeck,from all the beach movies,he also has Son who was a gifted actor and TV producer,Michael Lembeck. Great job as always thanks Steve

“One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Schlemiel! Schlimazel! Hasenpfeffer Incorporated!” I looked forward to that show every week. Laverne Defazio made everything happen. The show revolved around her. I'm surprised to hear Penny died. She was so funny.

Yes. As you grow older you realize the cliche you heard growing up, "Life is short" is true. I was born in 1952 and it seems like until very recently the famous who were quite advanced when I was small have still been around to now die off. There are those, and there are now my almost contemporaries who are also kicking it as well. Alarming.

Oh wow! Those nights around the television watching 'LaVerne and Shirley' and laughing our heads off are still fresh in my memory. I loved that show and the great cast they had.

Penny/Laverne is not gone just faded away into movie history. This made me cry. I watched their show when I was 11 until they went off the air in 1983. ROCK ON Laverne!!!!!!!!!!!!
The theme song is stuck in my head now. Milk and Pepsi comes to mind as well.

Another great video Steve. Thank you for adding a GPS to Phil Foster’s Grave. Without you, I would have had a harder time finding some of the graves during my tour of L.A’s cemeteries to pay my respects to the people that have entertained me my whole life. Thanks again.

Loved the show and big fan of the Marshall family. Thanks for sharing, Steve. They were both so talented (brother and sister) and of course since they came from NY and never lost their "accent" made them even more a favorite as I am from there too. I remember her stint on the Odd Couple, another favorite of mine.

I LOVED Laverne & Shirley!! They were both so funny!! I didn’t know Penny Marshall directed “Awakenings”, the movie. That was a fantastic movie!!!! One of the best, in my opinion.

Yes ... they appeared in at least 1 episode of Happy Days where Fonzie fixed Ritchie up with Shirley and he ended up with the more "outgoing" Lavern.

I'm 42 now, but as a child n the 80s, my father and I would go to pick up my grandmother from work just after I got outta elementary school. I remember asking my dad to hurry so we could get home to watch laverne and shirley along with the Cunninghams. I never got to meet any of the cast members from laverne and shirley or happy days other than the Fonze himself, and lemme tell ya, Henry Winkler is one of the nicest famous talents you could ever meet. Hes so down to earth, kindly and soft spoken, and he treats every one of his fans like with such kindness. I was blown away by how kind this guy was, so yes, I love both of these childhood shows, and my need for t.v. entertainment is forever instilled into the 70s-80s for the nostalgia. Thanks for sharing your video. By the way, I know Gary Marshall was in league of their own, which I love, but did penny direct that as well?

That's when TV was good. Time sure does fly. Thank you for sharing. I can't believe Penny Marshall died. So sad. And we just lost the Big Ragoo. 🙏🕊️❤️ And Squiggy just passed not too long ago.
I don't know why but I used to feel that one day I'd cross a street and come face to face with Penny Marshall. It's insane but, I always felt I'd meet her.
