Wow! Thank you. This is why my car would not start this morning. I have a 2019 Sentra S with a manual transmission and I've been having fits the last two hours. I disconnected the orange clutch switch (connects to the clutch pedal) and it works!

This just worked on my 2019 Nissan Sentra SV. I bought a new battery and battery for my key fob…then tried this and it worked lol
Same shit and i bought an alternator plus starter AND BATTERY so After doin this we don’t have to go to no shop right ? After it starts we good ? I got a 2019 Nissan Sentra sv too bro. Is the brake good and all right ? That just made it start and good to go right?

So do I take it somewhere to get that fixed cus my car started after this. Bro I done bought a brand new starter, alternator and battery. I did this joint started. So after i turn and take it out and start do I take it to a shop to get it fixed or it works like this? So my car won’t malfunction on the road right ?
You will have get the part replaced or simply replace it yourself

In my Altima 2020 . It says "Malfunction " and car doesn't crank . I need to wait for about an hour then it works fine. Then after some time "malfunction" sign appears again and the car stops and doesn't start. Do you know how to fix this problem?

This is temporary fixed you should not drive this vehicle in this state for too long

Thank you for the video; that was exactly the issue I was having. I also disassembled the switch and one of the contacts is bad from arcing; at least that is my assumption. So if anyone is willing, you can save yourself some money by disassembling the switch and cleaning the contacts with a light abrasive.

My did the same thing but only way i had to get minds to crank is when jump it off but when i went to check the battery it said it was good so i hopefully the brake cable is the case
I’m currently having this same issue with my 2019 Altima...just got it in Jan and I’ve had to give it a jump to get it started as well. So ima try this brake pedal thing and see if that’s it. I’ve confirm my battery, starter and alternator are good.

If u leave it unplugged your battery will go dead due to the brake light staying on.
If it is your cruise control switch then you’re good

I have a 2019 Nissan Sentra. I tried the black cord first without pressing the brake and it didn't work but when I tried the orange one it worked when I pressed the brake.
I think the orange one is cruise control switch

It is your brake light switch that is defective. If this part is unplugged your brake light will stay on

They also have a common problem with the battery dying overnight. I have to carry a jumpbox everywhere I go.

@@marisaw5150 Hi there. I have an Altima. This problem went on sporadically for about a year. I honestly do not know the cause. I had the battery checked by 3 different places and they all said it was fine. As much as I hated to I just bought a new battery. I bought the best one they had to offer. Since then it has worked perfectly. I still carry my jump box in the trunk out of paranoia. Sorry I couldn't help much but thats what I eventually did. My jump box was 85 dollars. The battery I eventually bought was around 230 dollars. Hope you guys find a cheaper solution.
@@Tennessee968 thanks for replying. Are you still having issues although it was determined not a battery issue? I don't think it is the battery, after some more research possibly the terminal. Dealer said it was him using the auto start every time, but doesn't make sense considering the car has to start up anyway no matter the method.
