New York band Spotlights graces TH-cam with a very heavy and (literally) dark performance for our latest EarthQuaker Session. With able assistance from the Astral Destiny, Afterneath, Tone Job and a few other EQD birthed treats, the power trio of Sarah Quintero, Mario Quintero and Chris Enriquez run through all IV parts of their dynamic 2020 EP “We Are All Atomic” for its first live performance ever. Ambient, echo-drenched passages melt into pulse-altering rumbling power chords, fuzz bass, and big beats. There’s feedback, screaming, low-end rumble, kick-ass riffage, and an empty indie record store in pandemic-era Pittsburgh. What more do you need?

This is the first time I saw or heard Spotlights. Just an epic performance from an epic band. I have seen them twice now live and they are just incredible. The sound these 3 produce is a beautiful and melodic monster.
