Welcome back everyone, you know the drill - you pick a state, I find scary stories from it - you chose Pennsylvania. I've always liked the word Pennsylvania but it kinda sounds a little bit creepy too - maybe I'm thinking of Transylvania. Either way, lets get into this if you're ready - my name is Danny Burke and this is the Top 10 Scary Pennsylvania Urban Legends.

I’ve lived in PA since I was about 5, there’s thousands of other creepier ones than this.
There’s a place In Uniontown PA, called the devils gates. It’s a no trespassing gate that blocks off a dirt driveway that leads up to a burnt down house (I can’t remember when it burnt down) but a man murdered his wife and children, and then burned the house down and killed himself. If you visit the gates you can here screams, your car will start to move like it’s being pushed, and you can even see little hand prints all over your car. Friends and I went to visit about a year and a half ago. My friend had just gotten new tires on his car a day before, when we left he had gotten a flat tire, but it had looked like someone peeled the rubber off the side of the tire with like a sharp knife. The wires were totally visible in from the tire. There were also hand prints all over the outside of the back windshield and outside windshield.

At a school in pa there is a legend that a girl killed a boy who accidentally went into a girls bathroom and his spirit still remain there to this day.

I live on lake Erie, yes I've heard of most of these, but with the storm hag, she said to beautiful with a captivating voice, once she has her victim she'll change. But regardless what version you hear, she has yellow eyes and is said to live in the marina

I have never seen a video about Pennsylvania with so many views 😂 I’ve lived in rural Pennsylvania since I was born and nobody really gives PA recognition... it’s actually really beautiful here, even if you believe it may be a bit boring. The sunsets are really cool as well.
i live in the mainline so it’s weird knowing how the rest of pa is mainly rural bc here it’s usually pretty city-like and lively

For #2 how did that road get the name “Irwin Road”. I know there were several Irwin’s in the family that lived around there in that time period.
Yes. my home state! I'm originally from the Philadelphia area, and there is is a legend about a haunted train tunnel in the town of Perkasie. (Rebeca will love this) According to legend, in May of 1944 the engineer of a passenger train was decapitated at the tunnel when he stuck his head out the cab window at the wrong time. the train is said to have continued to the next station when the fireman who'd been shoveling coal into the boiler, realized the engineer was dead and stopped the train. They say that now if you walk through the tunnel at midnight going from the south portal to the north and put your ear to the track, you will hear the sound of a steam train approaching at speed. Soon you will be chased by the ghost train, driven by the headless engineer. You must make it back out of the tunnel before the ghost train catches you and runs you down, cutting off your head.

Ghost adventures did a show in Gettysburg. The battle field is haunted there and other areas near it. Not from there, but been there a few times.

Pennsylvanian is right Danny! Honestly, I'm more afraid of the type of people we get here (as well as coyotes and bears. My boyfriend and I actually saw a coyote just standing in the middle of the road and it walked off. My dad has also seen one in our driveway. There's also been a family of mountain lions spotted about two miles up the road from me, and a black bear on our road. This is not even 10 minutes from town). the only one I was familiar with was what happened to Ray. It was a story used to keep us just from wandering off and doing stupid stuff, at least from my family.

@@slug2.049 I didn't hear about the devil's road one. I'm about an hour from Pittsburgh, from a small town inside a small county. The only memorable occourence was my neighbor being murdered by her nephew in the 80s for drug money. Made the house have a weird energy.

I'm from PA and you guys really need to do the story of pennhurst asylum. It for sure is a story that needs to be told about Pennsylvania, and a definite need of remembrance for those poor kids affected by tragedy and left to die.

I met a patient who survived Pennhurst. He was very nice even though he didn't talk much. He was well taken care of in his final years

Originally from Lebanon, Lancaster County, PA. Heard only a few of these but nice!!! I'd been to Hallum and heard about the gates; but did not go check them out. Had a great aunt in the Pennhurst Asylum. Like Caroline Miller said, I'd love to see a part two! When I move back home I intend to check them out.

i live in NorthEast PA (kinda by Scranton) and this state can be very eerie and spooky. coal mining towns, the asylum and prisons, abandonded places and state parks/forests etc. definetly need to do a part 2!! :)
