    I have a 2011 Lexus ES. If you're buying a used car, often the Lexus is a better deal.
    Here's why: The Toyota logo ALWAYS holds its value. There is a lot of demand in the camry market thus prices are generally high. If you want an avalon- the premium model- you're going to have to shell out for it. There are also less avalons in production making them more expensive.
    The Lexus ES has the same premium features as an Avalon, but because that's their standard production sedan it's not as "rare" of a find. Also luxury car buyers don't gravitate toward used vehicles so there's less demand there. Price shop a used avalon versus a used ES350. You might find that lexus is the better deal.

    • @Holistic_Islam
      @Holistic_Islam ปีที่แล้ว +21

      The perfect answer. I was looking for a used Avalon, however for the same price I could get a Lexus ES300h. It’s a wonderful car!

    • @geo5146
      @geo5146 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +10

      I found what you’re saying to be exactly true.
      Same year Avalon versus Lexus ES, the Lexus’ were actually cheaper. There are so many MORE ES’s than Avalons.
      I always thought people just don’t sell their Avalons and that’s probably part of it too
      But as you said, there just aren’t as many Avalons around as ES’s. The ES has consistently been the most popular car from Lexus, probably the only Lexus that sells as much as the ES is the IS.

      This doesn't even include the fact that a Lexus has sound proofing, better suspension, and a much better/louder sound system.

    Lol. Oh, dear, what has Lexus done to Scotty now? But Scotty, you once touted Lexus as the ultimate luxury cars.
    I think they make some of the best affordable luxury vehicles in the planet.

      Those things are overpriced and definitely aren’t luxury, have you heard their creaky cheap plastic interiors

    It’s not just the badge, I owned a 2007 Lexus ls460 l, I can assure you there no Toyota Avalon that came close it. It’s not just the sticker it’s the superior level of Toyota.

    Id venture to say the Avalon has similar sound dampening vs the Lexus. But a camry? Oh hell no! When people say “a Lexus ES is a Camry”…… yeah the engine and transmission, unibody. But the engine mounts are different on the ES, and sound deadening is light years better in a Lexus vs a Camry. Not really apples to apples comparison

    I have a 2017 Toyota Camry XSE V6, I’ve had it for two years now, love that car and it doesn’t even have 50,000 miles yet!

    Lexus service & care is much better than Toyota: an intangible difference, but one that can matter a lot.

    I was lucky enough to buy a 99 ES300 Coach Edition for $1500 because the owner didn’t know why it was stalling and misfiring. I replaced the 02 sensors and now that 3.0 V6 purrs like a kitten. I test drove all kinds of Camrys but they were all $2000 or more and did not have the same quality of feel. The suspension, handling, acceleration, sound system, accessories, and just overall styling of the Lexus makes it a lot more fun and attractive to drive. I love camrys but I test drove quite a few of those and I only had to drive one Lexus before I bought it lol. Even when it was running like crap I was like “this thing is just too cool to pass up” I probably wouldn’t have looked into Lexus if it wasn’t for you Scotty, so thank you!
