New 2024 Controller Feature | Throttle Lock | Foil Drive

With increasing safety ever on our mind, we have taken the 2024 holiday break period to roll out a firmware change on all new Foil Drive v2 controllers that now feature a throttle lock function.
In this video, Paul runs thru the throttle lock and the timed throttle lock function.

It would be nice to be able to lock the throttle for going in and out of the surf. I just shut the remote off, but bring and to just turn on and off by holding the top trigger down for a few seconds would be easier

Hi! Great update! Are you also planning to make It possible to shift gears and hold the throttle to the max constantly (like a normal efoil)? Beginners tend to have problems with the trigger control and going up and efoiling 😎

We are always working on new features and hardware! it has been suggested before but most customers tend to really enjoy the modular nature of being able to quickly and easily adjust the power required. Granted that does take a little practise too!

There is a special program card required, currently if you wish to upgrade your controller you can send it back to HQ in Australia.
We are working on having more locations around the world able to perform software upgrades soon.

Can I download the firmware for my v2 controller?

There is a specific device that is required to re-program controllers. At this stage, we have one at HQ in Australia but are working on more locations to send your controller to, have it updated and shipped back to you if desired.
