Biggest problem I'm finding with Foildrive is the battery box causes way to much drag and acts as a brake when u touch down. Which most people already know people already made inserted battery boxes on some boards but this would def be a game changer. I'm thinking about making a board myself or waiting for apple tree for there Foildrive boards. The board would just be so much more efficient especially getting up on foil when starting out and touch downs and the mast will sit at a normal level much needed if you really want that high performance riding

You guys are pairing so great !!! This is really FD Europe eventually !! I am on FD for a few months now, progressing so quickly on flat pumping and DW (lakes, canals, North Sea). Good to hear from your insights and specifics we have down here in EU.

Hello, this is completely off the subject but I'll take a chance anyway... I'm thinking of buying the Jimmy Lewis FD 4'7" x 18" x 3 7/8 40L board. I would prefer the next size up but it's not here in stock in Hawaii. Shipping cost is way to much, while guessing if a board works for me! I noticed you have one there in your collection. Living on the island of Hawaii I don't have any to choose from or demo before spending a lot of money for a good FD board. There aren't any reviews on this board, so my question is how do you like the performance of your Jimmy Lewis FD. I've watched your video of you using this board but you it wasn't based on the board. If I may ask the planning aspec in choppy water. My weight is around 82 kgs. Your thoughts would very much appreciated. sorry for such a long comment Mahalo!!

Thanks for the video! I just recently found out with my full carbon prone board with carbon tracks, that it helps to find a good spot on the nose for signal. Then to do "one handed" strokes and leave the controller at that good spot. Works fine. I seem to notice less signal in salt water compared to a Lake😊. 🤙 Will use the antenna in the ocean.🙏

I have the three prop upgrade and occasionally, mostly when transitioning out of wave after foil glide back to triggering/motoring I get a vibration or jitter lasting for a couple seconds. Is this normal? I feel like it’s putting undue pressure on the props and bolts themselves feeling something’s gonna break/give. Just wondering if this an issue that other 3 propers are having and if there is a fix?

Good on you, guys! Common sense isn't as common as it should be, and courtesy is born out of respect, which is also in short supply. Foildrive is a great product, and you're giving it the best possible chance for success. Etiquette instead of rules and laws.

Checking with the airline doesn’t help since we have to go through the custom gate and the agents sometimes do not understand this type of technical information and they will not allow it. I think it is still too risky for me to go through the gate with the check-in luggage containing the battery.

Why can't u just take a regular battery on carry on?

The max unit battery. Is it a similar size and weight as a normal sport battery? Do you use the smaller sport cone or the larger max cone? What I am getting at is if I buy a travel battery am I also buying a sport battery at the same time?

If people are around I go for the slow motor out in prone position and mix it with some paddling , Motoring around looks at bit obnoxious , sort of hey look at me ... and just use it to motor into sets .also the noise will piss people off.. most cases I look for spots with no one around.. that's the beauty of it.. common sense and respect is all that's needed..

We have a two blade prop , and I can confirm zero problems, the set up works perfect for us. Are the advantages of a three blade worth changing if I have not had issues and we are real happy with the two blade set up ? cheers
