    Congrats to Kipsang for the win. Maybe typical of the first DL event....a hesitant race with slow times for these guys. The lead runners gave up on following the pacers. Stewie miscalculated this one. Wind probably a negative factor here. Can't tell from this commentary.

      Pacers job is to pace it evenly at a given pace. Running the first 800 with splits of 54.44 59.86 is not pacing it evenly so even if what they came through at 800 is what they were asked to do I would still say they did not do well

      That's a world class field. Olympic finalists and medalists. The conditions were bad here. The pacers should've read the atmosphere and gone with it. It's not a time trial for them. It's the athletes they're PACING.

      Did you see Kipsang's Nairobi race the other day? He's for real. 3:35 isn't that slow considering early season and wind. I think the backstretch was bothering people all day because of the wind. Now that 800 was slack!

      @@cakej1 I think it was harder it looks. The field was pretty stretched out. On the backstretches it looks like they're standing still. Cheriyut was doing what you're supposed to do, and that didn't work either.

    Can someone explain WHY TIMOTHY CHERUYOIT has lost his imperial form? Why is he loosing a lot of his races? Ever since the Norwegian Ingridbreitssen started pummeling him like a little boy, he doesn’t win any races!!

    • @scottholland2558
      @scottholland2558 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It’s early in the year and he’s not likely very sharp so sometimes in these early races you get what you get . . . he finished second by a couple of strides!
      Everyone is beatable . . . even prolific runners like Hicham el guerrouj lost races - it’s rare that someone is that dominant in these times because so many runners are very good and can win on any given day!

    • @jeremymillionaire3220
      @jeremymillionaire3220 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not quite convinced by your argument over his subsequent loss after Ingridbreitssen beat him, his competitors just gave more than he did, to the race... Nd besides, he didn't seemed to struggle getting to the finishing line.
