    Personally, I think it would be very cool to have speed of projectile on leaving the hand and estimated trajectory in real time. Something similar to what they do in the MLB for pitch speed. I like numbers and stats like that, so I think that would be a super cool way to add another level to the viewing experience.

      Imagine the tech is easily adaptable. How far could Aroldis Chapman throw? Or Nolan Ryan in his prime? "Do I have to do all that running?"

    • @trump45and2zig-zags
      @trump45and2zig-zags 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They could maybe do launch angle and arm speed but the speed of the javelin doesn't always correlate, my furthest throws were always slower cuz a slight head wind that would create lift

    • @dadisacek
      @dadisacek ปีที่แล้ว

      True, that would be spectacular. Also a better camera view, for example a static side view of the javelin distance flown from a middle of the stadium. The precise close up side view of javelin doesnt show the full glory of the actual distance the thing fly. Also better camera view on the technique of each athlete would be really nice.

    • @kinovea
      @kinovea ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed. I don't know why they don't show the javelin trajectory as a wide field shot. This is one of the most if not the most impressive event to watch in person because of the sheer scale of the throw. TV footage doesn't do justice to how amazing it is to see the javelin crossing the entire stadium.
