I love the idea of signing and dating the blankets. A dear friend has become nearly blind, but can still crochet large Afghan blankets - I will embroider some labels for her so that they can be attached to her projects. Thank you for sharing your grandmother’s beautiful work!

This video brought me back to my grandmother who I miss dearly, she taught me too how to crochet and I too have so many of her lovely blankets. This brought tears to my eyes but happy tears, I miss her so much but I do wrap myself up in many of her lovely creations. Thank you again.
How beautiful. You just don’t see yarn like this anymore. Sadly at least none I can afford. I hope someday my granddaughter and daughter will look so joyously at my creations. Thank you for sharing!

Grandmas are the greatest! It’s so wonderful that you have these blankets that your grandmother made. I’m very thankful that I was close to both of my grandmothers. This video made me tear up a little...missing my grandmas. Thank you for the walk down memory lane.

I would love to know how to do her favorite pattern like she made for Rachel & Thomas. Boxes and doubles. I really love the striped maroon and cream. The knitted scarf I thought was a table runner too.
I am doing a cal in April and I will be using a lot of her designs!! Keep an eye out for it!!

I'm new to your channel, this video warmed my heart, I was lucky to have my mother in law teach me how to crochet and I have visions of my kids having my mother inlaws blankets one day and my blankets being passed to my grandchildren etc. It just shows how timeless crochet and knitted pieces are. Stunning and beautiful work. I like how she labeled each, the old time photos and the pattern for the purple and white blanket is a MUST! The center is so unique, I hope you give us an opportunity to learn this. Thanks so much for sharing. All the shawls are in such beautiful condition.
They're beautiful, annoo crochet did a coat with what she calls is bow tie stitch, like your lilac blanket with the chains joined by the single crochet. Its gorgeous. I like how she does the designs with the spaces in the squares. Thank you for sharing 😍💖

Hello, just happen to run on to your video and I had to laugh because I have been going through all of my afghans that I have made and the ones my mother made, I taught her how to crochet so they are extra special to me. I have washed all of them and have put them in space bags and will be sharing them with my grandchildren this Christmas. Loved seeing all of yours and they are beautiful.

I've been watching these older videos and was so startled when you showed the purple blanket around the 3:30 mark. I watch a TH-cam crochet channel from Ellen Gormley and she is designing a baby blanket very similar to your grandmother's. Just shows how timeless bruges lace is. And your joy in the memories is heartwarming.
