Fantastic video. A number of times I stopped for emergency, such as rushing to get a turtle off road before next vehicle approaches, and the car door is locked and cant get out until I remember to hit unlock. I can also see this as a danger in roll over ,people trying to get you out,and the locked door is not helpful
Hi, thanks for this , very informative and very beautifully demonstrated video. I've owned a 2017 Nissan murano sl since 2017 ,and asked everybody , who should know how to disable the auto locking option on the Murano even the xxx xxx dealer quote " it's a safety procedure and can't be undone" for 5 years I've been startled by this noise, even though I know it's going to happen. So from the bottom of my heart, THANK-YOU. IF, and it was the only complaint I got with the suv, now no complaints . What a suv . Thanks again and may God bless you and your family. Please keep these videos coming. All the best Wils 👍 nice platinum
Thank you for the kind words Sir. I have since sold the Murano because of needing something larger, but I always strive to share as much knowledge as I have on the vehicles I own...to enable fellow drivers to enjoy their vehicles to the maximum
In case you have some time and are curious about what else you can do with the locking/unlocking feature, check this video out - th-cam.com/video/I15fauWLxzM/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for the kind words. I've got a few other Murano videos that will be dropping soon (they are going through quality control, haha). I hope they prove to be of value as well.
thank you but i have a question, how does the car lock itself after driving you close the doors it lock itself without using the keyless entree or remote control?
I bought a 2014 Nissan Rogue that only had 20,000 miles on it. Good deal, but I am a grandmother and it has auto start. That means if my grandkids get the keys, they can start the car. I want to disable this feature and cannot find any videos to tell me how to disable this feature. Do you know?
I spent some time looking through literature related to the 2014 Rogue, and it does not seem like the remote start feature was offered from the factory (for models in the US). Can you actually remote start your vehicle using a Nissan-labelled key fob? I feel like you might have an aftermarket key fob, or that some aftermarket functionality was added to your key fob.
If it is any consolation, it is not easy to accidentally start the car with Nissan key fobs. It needs a deliberate sequence of locking the vehicle, and then holding the lock button down. Also, the vehicle has a time out feature and can only run for a limited amount of time, after which it will not turn on again. If you have some time, check out a video I made showing the remote start for this Murano - th-cam.com/video/sMqQY08Vw9Q/w-d-xo.html
I think I'm with you. I do NOT like this remote function auto start and prefer the key BUT not the "smart" key. I think people are just sitting thinking of new electronic way to change stuff and people think it's cool but they don't think about the consequences of it. Just bought a Murano. Hate the keyless start.
What is wrong with you? 10 mins for something that takes 20 seconds to do. Don’t bore us. Get to the chorus! This is how you disable autolock 1. Turn on the car 2. Wait 20 seconds 3. Hold down driver side unlock button for 5 seconds. If you see the hazard lights blink twice then it worked. You’re welcome everyone! Jesus Christ.
Did you miss the whole point of the video? It was a little more involved than that. The lock and unlock features perform different functions which is good to know. IF YOU ALREADY KNOW HOW TO DO IT, THEN WTH ARE YOU HERE? This video is for people that DIDN'T know how to do it.
@@nunyadamnbizness9600 then change the damn name of the video to how to turn off the automatic locks plus a bunch of other boring shit that’s gonna take forever to get through.
