Doc, to my eternal shame, the first time I heard LoveBites I thought 'love the music but not sure about the vocals' (Shadowmaker). I've been begging for forgiveness ever since ! Now I can't imagine anyone but Asami singing 🤘🐺🤘

@@brandydynamite5877 Many found her an acquired taste only because of the range and the fact she doesn't sound like a metal singer. That, as I tell my friends, is because like Floor of Nightwish she is a vocalist who can do many things just give her a chance and frankly she is the one member of this band that has improved, especially LIVE , more than any other. Now I can't imagine her leaving and ever being replaced.

Frozen Serenade is in my top 5 for sure, and the brief glimpse of Asami performing such beautiful choreography has me drooling for the video release and yes, I can but imagine the impact it will have on reactors…. Especially if, let’s say, they’ve seen only “Set the World on Fire” first. Best band playing today…no question or argument.

Nice reaction thank you.. Miho, the bassist and leader of Lovebites withdraw from the band few days ago, and now Lovebites were put into indefinite hiatus.. As a dedicated fan of Lovebites I am extremely saddened, but I hope Lovebites will continue on making amazing music in the future.

Yes, this song is epic and a masterpiece; it shows their amazing musicianship and versatility, and showcases Asami’s vocals. Some of their songs are so uplifting, food for thought. I really like Miyako’s piano playing style in general.
I wish Miho the best in her future endeavors; she’s gonna really be missed. Sometimes life bites so hard but we must move on.

I love all of their songs, but there are a few that stand out as true masterpieces, and this is one of them. We are still in shock over Miho's departure, and the only consolation is the insanely good catalogue of work they have produced in five short years. Yes, "Magical" is the word.
The wound is still fresh. I want the best for Miho in all things, but this one hurts. It makes me glad I wasn't following Babymetal when Yui left.

Asami's voice is especially phenomenal because a major thing some people might not realize is how extremely difficult it is for a Japanese person to speak English clearly. The Japanese language does not have a (L) (R) (F) (V) (TH) sounds. It also only 5 vowel sounds while English has 20. So unless you've studied awhile (and preferably in an English speaking country) its real hard to enunciate in English. Also regarding Miyako, the piano player and guitarist, she only started playing guitar at 19. That's according to Dean Guitar's web page for her signature model. It speaks to her discipline and dedication to be able to shred this great in such a short time.

I can't believe that people don't react to their song 'Dancing with The Devil' (live from five of a kind concert) A song of empowerment written mainly by Midori & Asami. One of my favorites. Even as a 63yo music lover these girls have become one of my favorite bands. On stage Asami has the swagger & sassy moves to match the lyrics.
Please seriously consider reacting to it. More heavy rock than metal. But brilliant especially if you read the lyrics.

These ladies are just awesome, love their work, unfortunately they just announced the Bass player MiHo(one of the founders) is leaving the group, the band announced that they are going on a Hiatus, so don't know what will happen
Now you truly understand why they have such a dedicated following. I think that Holy War has been pushed way too hard as the go-to introduction for reactors. For some people it gives an impression of the band that isn’t really representing their true essence. I think those that know their full catalogue will understand what I mean. That having been said, if Holy War IS your first introduction to Lovebites, then Edge of the World just HAS to be the next thing you see and hear because it helps you understand the band’s depth.
I usually base my second song recommendations upon what I feel the reactor would like. If I think they prefer the harder stuff I will suggest Break the Wall or The Hammer of Wrath, if they seem to favor pop bands or the softer stuff then I will suggest Rising or Edge of the World. Some reactors mention seeing the piano on stage so then I will go with Etude/Swan Song, or if they mention anime then it's Winds of Transylvania, and so on. Lovebites doesn't have any bad songs so to some extent it doesn't matter but I still try to cater towards the reactor and not use my own agenda.
Holy war is the PERFECT introduction to this band; is shocking, you just don't believe what you are seeing and listening to. Second one, must be Swan Song, then you see Miyako on the piano, and all of them at their best, in a truly majestic piece of music, and then, you fall in love. Third, for sure, you listen to this one, and then you fall in love with them FOREVER, and you are part of the wofpack for eternity!

We have received very disappointing news for us.
The band's leader and bassist Miho
The day before yesterday she announced her withdrawal from LOVEBITES
At the same time, LOVEBITES announced that it would stop working as a band.
Lovebites said the go on hiatus for a while, but not that they stop completely. It sounds more that they will continue but of course they need first a replacement.
I mean i am thankful for Miho beeing the co-founder of the band, and it sad that she leaves, but i don't see a reason to stop with Lovebites now especially since their popularitary has grown a lot in the last year and Miho is not the main song writer or vocalist so in the end she is quite "easy" to replace. That is no disrespect to her, but we all know that there are a lot of musicians in asia that are technical perfect.
@@beldin2987 IIRC, Miyako said in her interview back in April they supposed to be working on demos for their new album. It would be difficult if they don't have bassist. So yeah, either find replacement or halt the recording sessions.

If you like to experience music from different places in the world you might want to take a look at Hua Chenyu (also know as Hua Hua) from China. There are great singers, and then there are great artists. Hua Hua is the definition of a great artist. His skill sets include: flawlessly mixing genres within songs, exceptional stage presence, delivery of emotion, brilliantly recomposing songs, and composing his own masterpieces. In some of his songs for a competition, he has to rewrite covers within 24 hours, and he developed new masterpieces.
