For catching up with Floor, I can warmly recommend the recent Tea Time interview that Elizabeth Zharoff did with her. Floor did the vocals only six weeks after giving birth to her 2nd daughter (Lucy). She cried during the first take (you can still see it in the music video, here at 6:25 around the moment you were fighting onion ninjas) & talked about this in that interview. This song was written by Tuomas Holopainen after the death of his father in 2021. My father passed in 2011 at 80 years old, and my mother passed in 2023 at 90 years old. I am 67 years old and this song brings tears to my eyes, as it is so emotional! Enjoy listening to all the Nightwish songs you missed!
This song is off of their latest album, Yesterwynde. It's the third album with Floor, the first was Endless Forms Most Beautiful, and the second was Human :II: Nature, both masterpieces if you ask me. If you've been out of the Nightwish loop for 10 years, you have some catching up to do. Nowadays Floor lives here in Sweden, with her husband, who happens to be the drummer of the swedish metal band Sabaton, and their two daughters, Freya, and Lucy. You should watch, and maybe react to, some of her videos from her home here in Sweden, which she did during the pandemic, there you'll see what a wonderful person she is, if you didn't know that already. By the way, if you're dutch, and trying to find your way back into metal, you should take a look at Epica, a dutch symphonic metal band, if you don't know about them already, of course.

Floor and Simone Simons are good friends, and Floor has been on stage with Epica a few times, you should check out Sancta Terra featuring Floor. Another great dutch metal band is Within Temptation. Yeah, there's a lot of good music out there, just waiting to be discovered. Speaking of deep rabbit holes, have you heard of The Warning? If not, they are worth checking out as well.

Lanternlight is breathtakingly gorgeous ❣️ Not able to listen to this with dry eyes, it goes straight to your soul. It’s so fragile and strong at the same time. What a gorgeous piece of music composed by Tuomas and so emotionally sung by Floor. Tuomas said that Lanternlight is a song of love to celebrate live of the people that passed. In this case mainly his dad I guess.

Their sound has changed in many ways. Unfortunately, Marco, the bass player, left in 2022. They released 3 albums since Floor joined the band. The 3 albums are focused on life and its evolution. @@AthenaDK So you have a lot to discover... actually you missed all the 3 original albums they did with Floor, and probably you only know the Wacken 2013 concert where they played songs written for Anette & Tarja. There's great live footage with newer stuff as well... for instance the Tampere & Wembley concerts (released also as BluRay/DVD 'Vehicle Of Spirit') after the 1st album with Floor (Endless Forms Most Beautyful) and the Hellfest concert after relase of the 2nd (Human | Nature). For the 3rd / new album Yesterwynde there unfortunately won't be any concerts for a while, since the don't want to tour for it.

You've got a bit of catching up to do! Marko left, and was replaced by another (brilliant) bassist, so Troy has become a more prominent vocalist (that's him on this track) Floor did a fantastic solo album, and a tour. Tuomas (keyboards / composer / bandleader), Troy (pipes / vocals / anything that makes noise) and Thomas's wife Johanna have a more folky side band, called Auri. They are working on the 3rd album & a Christmas tour. You've also missed 3 wonderful albums from Nightwish - The new one in particular, is stunning. For a band that has been going for nearly 30 years, it's spectacular. I subbed to watch your mind get blown.

You need to listen to the entire Human Nature album ! And Wachen 2013 and Wembley 2015 and Buenos Aires 2018 shows! I also have forgotten aboput them for like 15 years... Since Tarja even... skipped Anette even... but now... with Floor... since 2020 I remembered about them. They are the best band... Period. :)
I love Floor's lower notes in this song. I know it was always important for her to be able to sing high really well and her high notes are impressive, but I really love her lower register as well. Unfortunately we don't get to hear it very often.

They have a new bass player and this song is from his first album with the band. Their last album was Marko's last and it's called "Human :II: Nature". This song was written by Tuomas Holopainen after the death of his father in 2021. My father passed in 2011 at 80 years old, and my mother passed in 2023 at 90 years old.
I am 67 years old and this song brings tears to my eyes, as it is so emotional! Enjoy listening to all the Nightwish songs you missed!
This song is off of their latest album, Yesterwynde. It's the third album with Floor, the first was Endless Forms Most Beautiful, and the second was Human :II: Nature, both masterpieces if you ask me. If you've been out of the Nightwish loop for 10 years, you have some catching up to do. Nowadays Floor lives here in Sweden, with her husband, who happens to be the drummer of the swedish metal band Sabaton, and their two daughters, Freya, and Lucy. You should watch, and maybe react to, some of her videos from her home here in Sweden, which she did during the pandemic, there you'll see what a wonderful person she is, if you didn't know that already. By the way, if you're dutch, and trying to find your way back into metal, you should take a look at Epica, a dutch symphonic metal band, if you don't know about them already, of course.

Floor and Simone Simons are good friends, and Floor has been on stage with Epica a few times, you should check out Sancta Terra featuring Floor. Another great dutch metal band is Within Temptation. Yeah, there's a lot of good music out there, just waiting to be discovered. Speaking of deep rabbit holes, have you heard of The Warning? If not, they are worth checking out as well.

Tuomas said that Lanternlight is a song of love to celebrate live of the people that passed. In this case mainly his dad I guess.

@@AthenaDK So you have a lot to discover... actually you missed all the 3 original albums they did with Floor, and probably you only know the Wacken 2013 concert where they played songs written for Anette & Tarja. There's great live footage with newer stuff as well... for instance the Tampere & Wembley concerts (released also as BluRay/DVD 'Vehicle Of Spirit') after the 1st album with Floor (Endless Forms Most Beautyful) and the Hellfest concert after relase of the 2nd (Human | Nature). For the 3rd / new album Yesterwynde there unfortunately won't be any concerts for a while, since the don't want to tour for it.

You've got a bit of catching up to do! Marko left, and was replaced by another (brilliant) bassist, so Troy has become a more prominent vocalist (that's him on this track) Floor did a fantastic solo album, and a tour. Tuomas (keyboards / composer / bandleader), Troy (pipes / vocals / anything that makes noise) and Thomas's wife Johanna have a more folky side band, called Auri. They are working on the 3rd album & a Christmas tour. You've also missed 3 wonderful albums from Nightwish - The new one in particular, is stunning. For a band that has been going for nearly 30 years, it's spectacular. I subbed to watch your mind get blown.

You need to listen to the entire Human Nature album ! And Wachen 2013 and Wembley 2015 and Buenos Aires 2018 shows! I also have forgotten aboput them for like 15 years... Since Tarja even... skipped Anette even... but now... with Floor... since 2020 I remembered about them. They are the best band... Period. :)
I love Floor's lower notes in this song. I know it was always important for her to be able to sing high really well and her high notes are impressive, but I really love her lower register as well. Unfortunately we don't get to hear it very often.

They have a new bass player and this song is from his first album with the band.
Their last album was Marko's last and it's called "Human :II: Nature".

Since you haven't listened to them... during the pandemic... lots and lots of people also realized that they love symphonic metal and GHOST LOVE SCORE was NW's song with most reactors reacting to it. Since 2020 it is still happening and people literally went through the rabbit hole with Nightwish. Usually the first 10 songs are from Wachen 2013 and Wembley 2015 that people are usually reacting to. Here is also my favorite reactor... It's a DJ guy from Nashville ... The look on his face and his interpretations of all of Nightwish's masterpieces is incredible. You really will learn lots and lots if you are checking him out as well. It's really funny how people never heard of them and them they realize how good they are as a band.

She is, to many of us, the best Female Vocalist in the world. Very unknown to many still. her back story. in one's twenties, she was diagnosed with early stage cervical cancer. She survived and beat it, but she was rendered infertile as a result of the treatment. She sings of the pain she feels from never being able to have her own children. The meaning of the song and how she deliver the song.. I feel her pain, I feel her story. She is a beautiful person, inside and out with not a mean thought in her mind.
