I used to be all about waxing the car every other week, seriously, trying out various products along the way. The process was therapy for me for sure and this is why I did it, plus I liked a "just waxed" look which I liked too. After getting into coatings a couple years ago I haven't looked back! Once coated the wash is easier and always looks great afterwards, even these spray on, hose off Sio2 based products makes it easier to give the finish a boost down the road, even though it doesn't really need it, it satisfies the need to do "something" to the car, LOL. Gee, I ticked off all those boxes for the type of person who would want to coat their car. My new all-black 370Z has an appointment for paint correction and an Opti-coat Pro + coating next month.
Getting a 2023 Ford Transit 350 AWD high roof RV. It will be kept outside when at home base (Georgia) Would a ceramic coating be beneficial and how often should a coating be applied?
Would you say it's better for black cars? I try to seriously avoid black cars since they seem to get dirty so easily, but would a ceramic coating prevent a black car from getting dirty so quickly?
Was thinking about it for my MX5, but I do use the drive-through car washes so I guess this isn’t for me. I don’t have much time to wash my own car, and live in an apt complex so no place convenient to do so. What do you recommend for someone who goes to car washes frequently? Hate a dirty car but need convenience.
People are stupid. I put a ceramic coating on a clients car and he came 6 months after telling me another détailler told him he didn’t have any coatings because the reaction of the water was not the same anymore. The kid use the car wash every week and was wondering why the beading was almost all gone. When you are not smart enough to care about your care get a wax.
Jason, how much on average do you charge to ceramic coat a full size truck? I know there are different kinds of coating, but I am asking about the kind you use
You have to do maintenance cleaning twice a year. I don’t know why you say it’s there for a few years and that’s all. It’s not true and that’s what people ear from a lot of detaillers that say that to make money.

I wash my car twice a week and re wax when the water doesn't bead usually a few weeks apart. Would you suggest not coating my car
