One of my favorite places to spend time in Tulsa is at The Gathering Place park. Amazing! So happy we finally had a real Winter season. Lookin forward to Spring storms. They're exciting!
Yesss!!! I am loving all your videos. I too, am wanting to move to Tulsa because of transformation church. I’ve been following the church for 2 years (transformation nation online) and I agree, it is something about how Pastor Michael Todd breaks down scripture where the light bulb goes off in an amazing way! I’m wanting a fresh new start for me and my daughter. Definitely going to be praying and fasting, as I’ve felt this for some time now. I think about being alone too, with just my daughter and how to figure out how to put myself out there, but your right, you’re never alone.Your videos definitely paint Tulsa and a great light! Thank you so much and be safe with everything that’s going on! Happy 2 years!!!! God bless you!!!!

Chris I'm moving from California to Tulsa next month and I'm really scared about adjusting to the cold rainy weather. Do schools and business close when it gets extreme? Is it hard to drive in the stormy weather and is it scary to endure it alone? Any tips? Should I be worried about power outages??😬🙏
Hi! Congrats on your move! People told me years ago that experienced an ice freeze where everything shut down but they said that it was rare. Since I’ve been here, there has not been any extreme weather that has caused this. Once you get here, you’ll eventually adjust to being cold. But it’s not cold and raining all the time. We experience all the seasons. You don’t want to drive through stormy weather if you don’t feel confident about doing so. You can wait until it wraps up. Power outages occurs based upon the area and the intensity of the storm so that’s is hard for me to give you a definitive answer.
@@christietnebedum I really appreciate your time and response. I'm looking forward to visiting your church and introducing myself. I'm a big fan of Jesus and a fan our yours🥰💜🙏📖 Chris crew in da house!!👑🙌
Girlfriend! You crack me up - lived in Tulsa for 6 years and thinking about moving back next year. Love your videos. Have you checked out Jimmy's Egg and Hideaway Pizza? Oh, and Whimsy Cookie Co. - my friends own that one - super cute!
Joel Lara you should move to Oklahoma City instead since it’s more city wise and has more stuff than Tulsa , I’ve lived in Tulsa and Okc and I can tell you Okc is wayy better lol
It is great to hear you are doing well and are successful. My question is about racial diversity and interracial relationship/marriage. Is it acceptable there, generally speaking?
Thank you so much! And I have noticed so many interracial couples here that it's not even funny. I love to see how accepting it is here (in Tulsa at least). I'm not sure about any other city.
Thank you for this video as well. I’m definitely strongly considering moving in a few months mainly for Transformation Church. As a single woman, it’s just me and I’m open to trying something new. I’m mostly worried about moving during the quarantine. Or like August/September... let’s see.
We are thinking about moving to tulsa as well! All we have to do is find a affordable apartment and live in a safe area. Does anyone know what areas to avoid and which is safest?
Welcome! Bixby, Broken Arrow and Jenks are great! But of course, bad things can happen in any area, so I don't have a suggestion for which areas to avoid.
Hey Chris thanks for your video. I have a potential opportunity to move to Tulsa by the end of the summer, but I am a little nervous.I too, have been listening to Pastor Michael T and I want to get involved with Transformation church. Are there any neighborhoods that are just an absolute no no? Moving from Chicago, so I think it’s take a lot for me to feel unsafe.
Hi Shanice! I'm just noticing that my reply never posted for some reason. I was saying that since you're from Chicago, you have nothing to actually fear. lol But also as you know, crime is everywhere, so I can't really name a neighborhood that is unsafe. But if you use Trulia, that have crime rate labeled depending on which area you search!
stopped on by the channel because looong term as in a year or two probably, would consider it. This or LA depending on how we do for funding. Grats on everything. Orlando was not what I'd consider fast but fortunately thanks to video games, fast paced life may not be required haha
Oh cool! Hopefully you make the right decision for you! Orlando isn’t fast? You must have never been to downtown Orlando, Disney Springs, International Drive or near UCF. Haha it’s definitely fast. But you’re right about the video games! Best of luck on your decision!
@@christietnebedum downtown was comparatively dead when I was there in 2011, same for UCF area. Its definitely dead compared to most places Ive lived or visited i.e. Sydney, Toronto, NY, Chicago and most recently Bangkok now. Bangkok actually makes NYC look sleepy in terms of being the true city that never sleeps :) Tulsa's definitely ratcheted up my list though when I've been looking at it. Depending on where we're at when I come back over, Tulsa is probably ok until we raise enough money to set up in LA. Keep up the videos though, your channel is probably going to be a prime source for me when I see whats up in Tulsa lol
@@balancegamingnetwork844 oh yes, a lot changed! I left there in 2018 and it’s progressed. Mind you, it is not as fast like the cities you named, but definitely fast compared to Tulsa. Lol Best of luck with everything and thanks for watching!
i'm from the western half of Okla., ..................i moved to Tulsa almost 40 years ago..........the city has changed so, so much.......sooo many more people now...........most people are nice and friendly........the biggest downside for me, is the mosquitoes.........some of them can get to be the size of humming birds,y'all.......and ya.........it's slower paced.........we're in the south..........and ya, the roads are awfull. :/
I'm an LGBT person from the Northeast who's looking to move to Tulsa and still find a gay-friendly church. Is Transformation Church open to all people?
Hello there i am doing alot of research on living in Tulsa because i am in the process of moving there with my dog around august 2020....but i have been seeing a lot of episodes of tulsa on the first 48 hours . but i understand every city has itś own share of crime.
We moved to Tulsa in march 2020-- honestly, I don't think you have anything to worry about. We moved from the Phoenix area and honestly feel very safe here compared to there-- the show kind of misrepresents the community as a whole (just my opinion though!)
Hi Rick! Yes, I agreed with everything Emily said! How has your search gone? Any apartments that you've found interesting and want to know more about the location?
Hi Khaleel, Unfortunately, I can't speak for black men but my experience has been great! I also have a video on my channel titled "Are there black people in Tulsa"? This video could be helpful.
I did not get it. But I will in the future. You don't see too much wildlife in the city but in the country, there are a lot. Bugs are an issue in the summer. It's a pest.
wanted to try to get in touch about Tulsa, moving their, the black community... but it seems your IG is deactivated :/ Hope all is well. Thanks for the videos... I'll use them to help inform my decision
I'm having a panic attack as we speak I'm going to have to move because I'm finding roaches and rats because the slumlord lied and said that it was a multi-million dollar renovation when it's clearly not I have no family I have no support I need help now. I went to a crisis clinic last night and they did nothing. I was in the cold so long my hands started turning blue. I've been to New York, Atlanta, North Carolina, Texas, LA I have very little money I have an autoimmune condition which means that I am on government assistance which means government housing, a government phone and this area is very violent. I started a gofund me years ago. Not one penny. When I went to sign up again last night I got a bunch of error messages. STUCK IN AMERIKKKA If anyone can help
Oklahoma Joe’s is probably the best in town among the small chains. For local family owned, Stutts House BBQ on east Apache Street was my go to. It doesn’t look like much physically, but it’s one of the best in town in my opinion.
it’s 5 in the morn and i’m driving and when you started talking about tulsa roads i started dying laughing. tulsa roads are TERRIBLE!!!!! don’t you love all the construction but no one is working. why do it all at once. i don’t get it!!!! i enjoy your videos.

Basically huge concern of mine 😭🥺 BUT sis you spoke to me when you said “if God brought you here, he will keep you here” 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾❤️🙏🏾 AMEN. Having been born and raised in Cali Im like you with the heat. Everyday is a beach day and I love my Sunny bike riding/hiking Days. But I love Fall fashion and layers and bundling up in cute boots and scarfs, so I might be looking forward to actually having more seasons other than Spring/Summer haha
😳❤️❤️❤️ THIS VIDEO WAS FOR ME...WOW!!!! You literally hit every single topic...everything I needed to hear. I sat with tears, Im like she is talking straaaaaight to me.
Listennnnn!!! Okay! lol Tornadoes are still a concern for me. lol But we are covered in the name of Jesus. Also, it get's hot here sis, so get ready! Please let me know where you are in your moving process and if I can do anything to help :)
Yes!! lol
Chris Emani I’am waiting to hear back from all the companies I’ve applied too. The waiting game is tough! I’m like okay Lord! I’ve heard you and Im ready...now open the door for a job. Funny thing is I already have an apartment worked out haha so backwards
Tiff Tiff well, I’m going to be in agreement with you! You will hear back from a job soon enough! You seem pretty cool. Please keep me posted when you arrive. You can send me a message on IG: Chris_emani if you want! :)
I'm a big fan of Jesus and a fan our yours🥰💜🙏📖

Girlfriend! You crack me up - lived in Tulsa for 6 years and thinking about moving back next year. Love your videos. Have you checked out Jimmy's Egg and Hideaway Pizza? Oh, and Whimsy Cookie Co. - my friends own that one - super cute!
Oh Nice! I've only visited Hideaway Pizza! But now I have something to look forward too. Thanks so much!!
Your voice is amazing💕
Thank you!!
HI. I LIVE IN CALIFORNIA I WAN TO MOVED TO TULSA DO
YOU RECOMMEND ME LIVING IN TULSA
Hi! What are your preferences for a city? Do you like the fast life or a more mellow scene?
Joel Lara you should move to Oklahoma City instead since it’s more city wise and has more stuff than Tulsa , I’ve lived in Tulsa and Okc and I can tell you Okc is wayy better lol
@@thekill4O5 even as a native Tulsan I agree with that statement. I guess it comes down to personal preference
You seem like a really nice person. Thanks for your perspective on Tulsa!
Oh and by the way, do you like the Brookside area?
You are welcome! Yes I do! Really nice area!
My job told me that black people don’t move to Tulsa and here you are sis!!!
Haha yes we do! I'm glad you don't believe that. All of my friends here are black and none of them are Tulsa natives. lol
I’m trying to move to ok form fl also and don’t know where to start 😔
Hi Lauren! Sorry for the delay. Have you made the move yet? Any questions that I could help with?
Hi we just moved to Tulsa,Ok although we love it here, man it is tough to find a good job. I am either over qualified or under qualified
Welcome! Any luck?
I plan on moving after I finish college and I was wondering how you found a good apartment?
Congrats! Sure, I used apartments.com and read the reviews of the apartments that I was interested in.
What are the best areas to buy a house at in Tulsa like the neighborhoods I was told brokenarrow, Yukon nd a few others
I'd recommend Broken Arrow, Bixby, Mid-Tulsa, Cherry Street and Brookside.
Your dog is sooo cute!
Thank you!!
@@christietnebedum I am very glad to hear that. I like a diverse area.
Thank you for this video as well. I’m definitely strongly considering moving in a few months mainly for Transformation Church. As a single woman, it’s just me and I’m open to trying something new. I’m mostly worried about moving during the quarantine. Or like August/September... let’s see.
Girl, definitely go for it! Where are you in your process now? Are you still coming?!!
Chris Emani i definitely have to text you! I’m still figuring it out lol.
Class Assignment ok! Send me a message on IG: Chris Emani 😀
Whaaatt???????? My Dad was from Port-of-Spain Trinadad!!!!!! Hey!!!!
Nice!!!
Hey Girl Hey! I am moving to Tulsa in like 60 days! And I would love to talk to you,, bc I am also a Social worker as well!
What area do you live in that you consider a nicer/safer area?
Midtown, East Tulsa, Downtown.
I'm going on 3 years where did you live before?
I was in Miami, Fl.
Are there a bunch of toll rodes
Not an insane amount.
Your voice is amazing
Thank you!
Where you able to get the 10k grant for relocation there?
Hi! I didn’t not apply for that program you’re referring to. I don’t event know if it was around when I decided to come here. Are you applying?
@@christietnebedum I’m looking into it now I’m really looking to come to Oklahoma and grow the finest cannabis legally
i'm from the western half of Okla., ..................i moved to Tulsa almost 40 years ago..........the city has changed so, so much.......sooo many more people now...........most people are nice and friendly........the biggest downside for me, is the mosquitoes.........some of them can get to be the size of humming birds,y'all.......and ya.........it's slower paced.........we're in the south..........and ya, the roads are awfull. :/
Thanks so much for sharing!!
You’ll be fine, in the sentence of Tornado just doesn’t seem right.
I'm an LGBT person from the Northeast who's looking to move to Tulsa and still find a gay-friendly church. Is Transformation Church open to all people?
The UUs are. All souls is the largest congregation in the country. What denomination is the Transformation. Church?
Oh yes definitely! We welcome everyone. We are all children of God. I love you :)
TC is nondenominational!
@@emilylund845 Thanks and yes Phoenix has its pockets of badness and i will be moving from Tucson myself ...
I recommend looking into some apartments in the Tulsa hills area! It's a pretty nice and central to alot of shopping and restaurants and parks!
@@emilylund845 I contacted a few from Apartments.com on (east Skelly Drive)
Hi Rick! Yes, I agreed with everything Emily said! How has your search gone? Any apartments that you've found interesting and want to know more about the location?

What's it like for a black man in Tulsa/Bixby?
Hi Khaleel, Unfortunately, I can't speak for black men but my experience has been great! I also have a video on my channel titled "Are there black people in Tulsa"? This video could be helpful.
BUILDING a house!!? YAAAAS GUURL!!! You're an independent strong black female who is growing this city. How awesome and exciting!!!
That house is no more! looking for something different but thank you!
Congratulations on you buying a house!!
How are bugs and wildlife.
I did not get it. But I will in the future. You don't see too much wildlife in the city but in the country, there are a lot. Bugs are an issue in the summer. It's a pest.

STUCK IN AMERIKKKA
If anyone can help
You are so amazing 💞😍🤩
Sanghee Ozuna thank you!!!
How about BBQ,, How is it ???
I've only tasted Rib Crib, Albert G's and Billy Sims. They are pretty good!
Oklahoma Joe’s is probably the best in town among the small chains. For local family owned, Stutts House BBQ on east Apache Street was my go to. It doesn’t look like much physically, but it’s one of the best in town in my opinion.
Albert Gs is the best BBQ for take out period
it’s 5 in the morn and i’m driving and when you started talking about tulsa roads i started dying laughing. tulsa roads are TERRIBLE!!!!! don’t you love all the construction but no one is working. why do it all at once. i don’t get it!!!! i enjoy your videos.
