I just got my 2013 S8 in January, would you recommend replacing the tires with 275 35 21

I think they would rub. They are wider and taller. Better check some forums at the very least.

Lucky. I bought my 2015 A8L five months ago and its cost me $10k in repairs (front brakes, left front ride height sensor, front wheel bearings, and PCV valve replacement/75k mile service)

I just test drove a 2014 a8 3.0T. Is it normal when you are driving slow like driving in a parking lot, When you take your foot off the gad pedal in first or second gear low rpm’s to feel a slight jerk in the transmission. Almost feels like it is stuck in that gear rather than up shifting to a higher gear. Almost feels like your in a standard and you forgot to shift.

    • @GlennsCarCollection
      @GlennsCarCollection  3 ปีที่แล้ว

No, not normal, it can be jerky from time to time but not all the time

Great video not talking really about the car in any aspect. Other than giving me a thesis on summer tires versus winter tires 5×5 different ways.🤔

Is that a metal roof (on the house) or something? It is very shiny.

@@GlennsCarCollection okay. Is that car worth getting? I have a very reliable (knock on wood) B8 S4. And I want to eventually upgrade. Is the S8 reliable?

Do you plan on allowing Audi to do the 35k mile service, which likely will throw off your $1k a year repair/maintenance estimate. Since you didn't mention it, I'll assume your car was not impacted by any recalls. They're no $$ fixes, but curious if the car has been that perfect for you.

The 4.0T engine is a TOTAL FAIL shit show.
    --
Why? Because many will not make it to 80K miles without grenading themselves.
The oil screens in the turbo oil lines will clog and the turbos will disintegrate -- $13,000 to fix and can happen anytime.
Any filteration device is by definition a service item, but these take 10 hours of labor and the disassembly of the front bumber to get to!!!
If the oil lines don't clog, the cast compressor wheels may still explode -- $13,000 to fix (more so on the S8 and ECU "tuned" A8s).
That is if the fragments don;t get into your engine and score the cylinders, if so it's $35,000 for a new engine.
If that hasn't happen (yet), the oil separator / PCV assembly will crack and fail -- $3000 to fix unless it is covered by the service campaign.
    --
Unnecessarily complex, unreliable, unserviceable. TOTAL FAIL German Engineering.

My old 2015 S6 had the 4.0; 97k miles, no engine issues.
Audi extended warranties can cover 10yr/100k miles, so it would be make zero logical sense for Audi to continue making an engine that “grenades” after 80k miles.

@@mannyalons8427 He's not accurate in his detailing of this generation of Audis.
Audis in the 1990s and early 2000s? Shit boxes. Modern day, they've learned from the bad PR and IMO have better build quality than both Merc & BMW. Cross shopped 2020 A8, S560 and 750... A8 felt the best, when spec'd correctly
