Great craftmenship your showing. Not only with the paint but also good with metal skills to make working truck beautiful again and the owner have some good years with a good looking truck. Well done. Greets from the Netherlands.
you do fine work. I bought & refinished a 1996 KW T300 that looked horrible.. Stripped it down & put nice white paint.. it took a week of hard work. You definitely earn your cheese
He likely won't be that. Maybe after he has the frame stretched and painted he'll have it done...but I wouldn't hold my breath. Most likely that truck will continue to eat asphalt and earn money. Thanks a lot!
Hi Ray You and The Boys do fantastic work i wish you would have a before and after picture of the work because i don’t think some people really get how much of transformation you do. This is a highly underrated channel and I’m waiting for it to explode.
Come over to Facebook and check out Flash Industrial Painting. My posts on these same trucks and equipment actually show exactly what you are referring to. I accept all non salesmen or spam requests. Thanks a lot for you positive comments, my friend!
Well thanks a lot! Truth is...Only a small handful of these owners would want a camera pointed at them when they show up. Mostly old school...keep to themselves...sort of guys out here in these parts
Ray. Just love your honesty about other shop's and the bull crap work. Love what u and your guys do. Lovely job. Truck looks amazing. Keep up the amazing work.
There are far more crappy low quality body and paint shops than there are good ones that take pride in their work... It's a fact, and I think anybody that basically rips customers off by doing low quality work should be called out and humiliated. The only thing that keeps some of these shops in business is because a lot of people honestly don't know the difference. They see shiny paint and think it looks great.
Hey thanks a lot! We deal with shoddy work on nearly every project that rolls through the door around here. Over the last quarter century, I've seen it all...and dealt with it all... and there's really no excuse for it.
With your attention to detail, you must have body work lined up for months. Maybe team up with a polisher to record a time-lapse of his work at the end? Nonetheless, your content is great!!! Y'all have a great weekend!
Love your work. I know you don’t do any of the polishing and buffing of the chrome or stainless steel. But it would be cool to see the pics sent from customers after that gets done to compliment your paint jobs.
Once in a while a customer will get some additional polishing done. But the vast majority of the time these are work trucks that are owned by folks who could not care less if they are polished up or not. The second they leave here...they go out and get back to earning a living. Often times not even seeing a wash job for years at a time....let alone polishing. Thank you very much!
Your work is an inspiration to watch. What kind of rivets do you use and do you have to fill the heads on them to make them look original ? Thank you for a reply.
Thanks a ton! They are 1/4" blind aluminum rivets. I'll often dab a little silicone in the hole after they have been sanded to seal them up. I have 2 huck rivet guns...but I'm not too crazy about tearing out interiors of older trucks that aren't going to be show trucks....and the interior needs to be removed for huck rivets
Hi Ray another fantastic old Truck ready to go back to work your a fantastic tradesman mate.i have a question your paint work is shinny of the gun it doesnt require cuting or polishing ??? and no clear coat is that only used on cars Just being a curious Aussie .Love the channel Kym Adelaide
I see many, many trucks that come to my shop with failed base clear paint jobs. We're doing a 2005 kenworth right now with the factory applied clear coat coming off of it everywhere. Base clear...when it comes from the right company and is correctly applied...is as tough as they come. In the work truck world, however...It's just not as good a choice most times as a quality 2K urethane is. Thank you very much, My friend from across the big pond!
I shoot base clear from time to time. It has a false reputation as superior. Truth is... it's only as good as its clear coat...and not many manufacturers make a solid proven clear coat. I deal with more base clear failures on previous paint jobs in my shop than single stage...BY FAR.
I can see why the owner wants it redone. That poor truck is really showing its age, but unfortunately what its really showing is the previous amateurish unprofessional hack jobs. I don't blame you for redoing the hood. The hood wasn't done right, and it's a big area that shows everything. If you didn't do the hood, there would have been a very obvious line between the work that you did, and the work that was previously done on the hood. It would have made it look like the hood had been worked on after you did all of your work. I can't believe the can circle that was left on the top of the hood, and all of the garbage in the paint. Seriously ? You have a lot of time in this one, but it was worth it. I'm sure the owner will have a lot more pride in it now... I'm looking forward to the W900 and Pete that are next. Being a 379 it's definitely worth spending some money on to get it looking like it deserves to look... The hard work is done, but now all of the aluminum looks terrible. It would be really cool if the owner was able to have all of the aluminum polished. It's a lot of work but the truck would really look incredible... I wonder why Werner ordered the sleepers without the lower compartment doors. That's a lot of storage.
Thanks a lot for all of your positive input, my friend! I'm also not sure why Werner ordered them that way either... 379s are a big part of trucking culture in this part of the country...and there are an awful lot of owners who find it worth it to keep them on the road. We do more 379s around here than probably anywhere else in the entire country.
That is absolutely amazing! The truck looks fantastic!
Well I certainly appreciate it!
We need your skills in Australia Ray you do the job properly and the finished product is first class you are a true professional,,,cheers mate !🇦🇺👍
Well I certainly appreciate that, my friend!
Great craftmenship your showing. Not only with the paint but also good with metal skills to make working truck beautiful again and the owner have some good years with a good looking truck. Well done. Greets from the Netherlands.
Well Thanks for your kind words! I certainly appreciate it...and I just love you folks from the Netherlands!
You’re the best man! Not sure why anyone out there would hire anyone but you!
Well i certainly appreciate your positive input, my friend!
That was a good call on painting the hood. Cause in the end when somebody ask who painted the truck they will say you did. Fabulous job!
Thanks a lot, my friend!

I appreciate it, my friend!
Outstanding prep and paint. That truck would look right at home pulling a road train here in Australia.
Well thank you very much, My brother from down under! Those road trains are about as badass as trucking gets, I think
Great Job i think the truck would look great with the diesel tanks sprayed up same colour as cabin with chrome stays.Fantastic Job again
Hey thanks a lot for your positive input! And thanks for subscribing as well
Once again, fantastic work, beautiful 379, gloss black done well is so beautiful.
Thank you very much, my friend!

Absolutely 100% professional
Well I certainly appreciate it, my friend!
As usual, awesome job! Hopefully you inspired the owner to polish all the aluminum!
I appreciate it, my friend!
Love to see it when all the alloyis polished
He likely won't be that. Maybe after he has the frame stretched and painted he'll have it done...but I wouldn't hold my breath. Most likely that truck will continue to eat asphalt and earn money. Thanks a lot!

Looks beautiful, it would be nice to hear and see the comments a reactions from the owner on how good it looks when picks it up. 👍
Well thanks a lot! Truth is...Only a small handful of these owners would want a camera pointed at them when they show up. Mostly old school...keep to themselves...sort of guys out here in these parts

And what's worse is the fact that some of these paint jobs are upwards of 30 thousand or more dollars. Unacceptable.
I agree, Ray. I ran a heavy truck body shop for years. I stand behind u 100%.
AS ALWAYS AWESOME JOB👊👀
Well thank you very much, my friend!
It would be great to see someone polish out the aluminum to compliment your body work. The truck looks fantastic! Thank you for the video!

Would you be able to sell the old air cleaners that were replaced?
He took them with him when he picked up the truck. So I would imagine he intends to keep them
