The legal expert (a defense attorney) is providing a good legal education to a small part of a trial. I hope she continues to be a commentator. The two reporters who were onsite at the trial were also great at letting us know what Day 1 of the trial was like. I just found this channel, and will continue to watch these daily summaries because what I found here is so good.

Witnesses placed him at the scene of the crime; but so did Richard Allen himself. He admitted to being on that trail and offered that to investigators mere days after the murders. So, it sounds like the only thing prosecutors have as to why they arrested Allen is their claim that "a spent bullet matches his gun." Again, remember, the "confessions" occurred long after he was arrested and had been incarcerated. So, those confessions are absolutely irrelevant as to the evidence law enforcement had PRIOR to his arrest and had nothing to do with why they chose to arrest him for these murders. I hope that the prosecutors have more than simply a bullet. However, if they do, you would think that they would have brought that up in their opening statement. Right? They didn't. Idk.

Don’t they have an initial statement from him prior to the confession where he put himself on the trail as well ?

Being on that trail or spotted on that trail by eyewitness does not prove he is guilty of these murders. And yes, he voluntarily went to law enforcement and said he was on the bridge that day. That doesn't make him guilty. They found a 40 caliber unspent bullet in the woods. They are going to try to argue that it came from his gun. RA had no prior knowledge that those girls would be there, he is a family man who doesn't even have a police record. If they can find a definite motive or prior connection, I won't question his guilt. However, the niggling question is: which unseasoned murderer of smaller stature would, on the spur of the moment, take 2 young, strong teenage girls hostage not knowing whether they have family or friends in close proximity? And for what reason? If they were sexually assaulted, where is the direct DNA evidence? Why did the judge exclude any mention of Odinism - which is widely practiced in the area by groups such as the Vinlanders including by some members of the prison staff - possibly even the police? Why did one of the first investigators resign unless there was a threat of retribution by Odinists/Vinlanders? Was this a drug related killing against perhaps, family members involved in drugs? These happen all the time now in the US.
When exactly was that "Down the hill" video taken or was it manufactured beforehand as false evidence and placed on Libby's phone to befuddle the case? Somebody lured those kids to that bridge on that day at that time. They were abducted by someone who knew they would be there. It was planned. Question is: who all knew A & L would be at the bridge at exactly that time? There is no doubt that the girls were abducted and killed elsewhere by others, but why? They were more than likely placed there and RA was framed by people who have the knowledge and means to do so. The bullet was only found AFTER RA himself told police he was on the bridge that day.
Furthermore police interviews with key people of interest were lost. Why did the suspect sketches vary? First it was a young guy, then suddenly it was an older man. How can a fair trial take place with only partial evidence available? How high and how deep does this cult go within the system? These are questions that must be answered before convicting the state's suspect who was not even a suspect until long after. Something stinks higher than the Monon Bridge in this case. It's either drug, gang or cult related. Will we ever know the truth? Why has it taken this long unless someone in the system is covering for someone else.

Maybe the prosecutor asked Abby’s mother what the sound of Abby’s voice sounded like because she’s the one who said “gun” in the video.

Or it’s bc they are preparing to show the video with a female character involved outside of the girls.
I strongly believe Richard Allen is innocent. Have said it since day one of his arrest.
The man who owned the property where the girls were found, died in 2021 from Covid. He was an abusive partner, had a false alibi that he had his cousin lie (later admitted it was a lie to police) during the time the girls were at the bridge, prior to known missing - this is a coverup to a poor investigation and delayed justice.
Richard Allen’s life is RUINED due to these horrific decisions and lack of action from law enforcement.

I think they were trying to figure out which girl was recording. It was Libby’s phone but found under Abby and they could both unlock it because they were best friends.

The lady journalist aid "right" 857 times in one video. She is extremely hard to watch, very annoying. She interrupts, and fights to be the "star" of the show.

27:15 To me it tells the exact opposite. 30:00 This person 'thinks' too much but doesn't a lot about this case. This "bombshell revelation" was already mentioned in the Franks motions and doesn't hold water due to the witness statements, including Richard Allen's.
