This project seeks to explore notions of distributed knowledge, cross-species collaboration, and collective memory with and through the natural world. Through the use of field recording and improvisation with natural materials, natures influence on identity, traditions, and historical consciousness is foregrounded.
The process behind this project promotes agency in the materials at various levels of design and performance. The human will to synthesis and refine is tempered. The materials are given space to express their "thing-power".
The sounds produced are at once known and unknown to us. They blur the boundaries of self and subject-object relations. It is in these moments that attempts to re-establish or conjure new connections may flourish.
them: we never see you at the club
me: and i never see you around when the trees have something to say ???!!!!
First time I heard the full structure of wood without creaking - thanks.

Anyone who says there is no good music being made these days doesn't live on this side of the algorithm. Thought-provoking work, thank you for sharing with us 🌳🪴
I don’t know how I ended up on your video but it was special, so meditative and clean… I wish my life was more like that.
Deeply unsettling but profoundly accurate
💙
I love the sounds. I enjoy what you are getting from the twigs and I also want to spend time by a babbling stream.
This is amazing. I'm melting from the sounds. Thank you.
This is amazing. Thank you!!
We love this! Please, keep doing what you do.
just a guy making corpses whisper
Necromancy or advanced taxidermy?
really wonderful work! i am surprised and delighted by the incredibly clear tones you pulled from those branches. the use of the field recordings is perfectly pitched, and in combination with your meticulous additions fashion a deeply meditative work/space that allows the audience to access sense memory and pure soundscape-- and stillness, which is so, so precious.
Ionatan, your work is a lovely, delightful organic craft. I can breathe a fresh spring morning on my skin like a winter balsam, like moss on stone.
One of the best performances I've seen in a while, absolute immersion and thus perfect timing! Thank you!
this is so cool I hope it will reach more views
Beautiful. Was feeling stressed at work, this was exactly what I needed.
This reminds me a bit of Wednesday Campanella's "Yakushima Treasure".
You're so welcome, thanks for listening :-)
Hey this is amazing work, I'd love to hear more about your process or why you made it. I have an electroacoustic studies background and from that perspective this is some really interesting stuff
DM me on insta or something and we can chat!
I’m in architecture school and creating a project on the stoic befriending the mystic. It’s a nature center but it’s all about using sound. I wanted to design some sort of tree harp but was wondering if you have any insights or have any ideas on incorporating electroacoustics into my design or send me in a good direction! Any creative idea you’d love to see as well.
@@kendalllent8037 hey love the idea had something similar in mind do you have any socials I can talk to you on?

This is so beyond cool
I think kids these days say: "peak".
Usually there are many peaks in a graph and this music, in my opinion, is one of them in terms of quality.
In other words: great job!
