    Garry you are my idol! This is one of the most complicated Blackmore's tune especially for the fingering, somewhat classical, and in fact I see that you also use your fingers. Great tutorial, many thanks!

    I didn`t even watch with sound on, but I can tell that this is the classiest guitar lesson on youtube.

    Thank you Garry for this! I have been wanting to learn this for years and thanks to you I have it down in a few hours on my acoustic no less, can't wait to play it on electric!

    Marvelous, fantastic, unbelivable, magnificent.
    This is the first WTN video execution that I have seen on the web. For my way of guitar playing, much based on instinct and improvisation, much "by ear", this tutorial it's a real great mine of teachings.
    Thank you very, very much Garry for sharing.
    As Vigilius have said before, you are an idol, for me too. ;-)

    Thank you , Garry . This is just great . I learned to play this tune from reading tablature in a Guitar Techniques magazine years back . It is still a favourite tune of mine to play .

    • @GarryChambers
      @GarryChambers  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. I hope it's the same as Guitar Techniques tab.

    • @brianwills8689

      Actually very much the same as you play it here , although I do that long riff on two different parts of the neck , same notes but in a different place each time . I also play the best version of it that I can muster on my big old pedal action organ which has a great sound . I lived in Australia for 27 years and have been back here in N.Z. since 2003 . Cheers for your reply mate . I intend to study some more of your tutorials , and I will recommend them to my friends as well .

      Thanks for watching and recommending my channel. Post a video on you channel with guitar and organ if you like and I'll have a listen.

      Thanks Garry , I intend to view some of your other tutorials and I have recommended your videos to my friends already . I have a video of myself playing " Asturius " by Isaac Albeniz on my acoustic , look it up under " Asturius " , and also a video of my Organ playing under the title " Organ Music . " Both have been posted to utube and you are welcome to view them .

    The second last phrase of the theme is actually not as you show it. Ritchie plays aeolian mode: A Bb C D C Bb A G F G. But thank you for your video! Good luck!

    Great video Mr Chambers!! Thats why i subscribed to your channel...Just a question, is your strat scalloped ?? And if so what model is it ??

    • @GarryChambers
      @GarryChambers  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad you enjoyed William. To the strat's. The sunburst, natural and of course Blackmore are scalloped. The flat black one at the start of the video is a friends which is not scalloped. I scalloped the sunburst and natural using the Blackmore as a template. The sunburst and natural strat's are Mexican refered to as - Fender Classic Series 70s Stratocaster.

    Interesting fingerings. I've been playing it differently for dozens of years, so it's nice to get a different opinion on it.

      I'm not saying this is the only way to play it. However this works for me.

    • @Mooseboy08
      @Mooseboy08 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Garry Chambers Garry, what I meant is that the voicings that you get with your fingering definitely sound great. You've got that really elusive Blackmore sound going on, and I really enjoyed watching and listening. Are you using an AC30 by any chance?

      Hi Mr Dickeson. I'm glad you enjoyed the tutorial and thanks for your comments and question. The Guitar and amp in the intro are Highway 1 Strat and Blackmore Engl head with cheap Marshall quad box and Shure sm57. The Guitar in the tutorial is a Mexican Strat.

    Awesome I just discovered the better backingtrack with harmony part in keyboards , however I must check if the harmony is original been played by purple . It just not sounding so much midi the new track. This track is must. And instrumentals with easy rhythm parts is so good to have in jamming situations. I’m absolutely convinced this is the way Blackmore played I gonna go right away to Guitar Pro and change it. I’m a teacher so it will be best. I Never had thought this one. Really good to be accurate from start. Have never come around and learn the Blackmore stuff.

    you are a real guitarhero ,but i dont understand why you use the fingers in the beginning in whring that neck..is it diffucult to use a.plektrum...?

    • @GarryChambers

      +spigax
      Hi. I have no special reason for using might fingers at the start other than it enables me to manage unwanted open string noise etc.

    • @spigax7512

      Sorry spigax I just noticed your comment now. I just use my fingers because it is easier for me, if you find it easier with your pick go for it.
