    They played psychodelic, progressive, jazz, blues, funk, classic, acid and of course hard rock music. After listening to all known band of that time, there is no doubt for me who was the most talented and creative. These guys. And faked musical critics can go to hell.

      As producer Martin Birch said ... and he would “know” .... “Deep Purple were the best at what they did .... without a shadow of a doubt”.

      That was fucking beautiful bro I couldn't say better myself I've been trying to tell people for years the same thing they could go out on stage tanked up on alcohol n still kick ass on most groups they were the Vikings of rock there's a famous Ritchie qoute he once said there's a misconception that I refuse to play with other guitarist it's not me it's because they know I will blow them off the stage 🎸

      To add to the vastly underrated underplayed fusion of hard rock, classical, jazz, baroque JL big Bach fan, Medieval-RB, psychedelic, blues tunes romantic of course these guys put out, they must have met Salvador Dali and smoked out with him cuz the Mandrake Root performance is Surreal.

      Actually it was the way he set the bridge up so it couldn't go sharp or pull up. It usually worked, most of the time. I did it with my Strats. Nothing like a Floyd though.

      @@jamesalllan7806ummm, then why do many 70’s videos show Blackmore literally pulling UP on the tremolo arm if it’s set up NOT to go up?

    • @OfDoom.
      @OfDoom. 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @georgeprice4212 he definitely had the trem floating somewhere in the middle so he was able to do dive bombs as well as upward yanks, not sure what the other guy is talking about where Blackmore would deck the trem only to do divebombs. It also probably helped he would get replace the stock tremolos with custom made ones as I recall, he would destroy the trem and had to get heavier duty arms and systems.

    Mark2 created their own genre with the monumental "In Rock" album. It was a blend of jazz, classical, blues, psychedelic and early rock&roll. It was a genre only they ever played. These five were quite sinply the greatest group of pure rock musicians of all-time.

      Every musician was inspired by someone and used parts of music of his inspiration. So did DP, LZ, BS, Metallica and even classic composers. It's normal. After all, what makes a musician good musician is an improvisation. And Deep Purple were the best in improvisations among other hard rock bands at that time, there is no doubt.

    There is a reason why Purple MK1 got thrown off a US Cream tour - they blew cream off the stage and Blackmore completely savaged Clapton 😁

    15:55-ish. Jon Lord pulls a bloke out the audience and says "I need a break, press this". That man can dine out for life saying he played with Deep Purple!

    What Mk3 was lacking was all the jazz and blues that was the centre of early DP. And plenty of groove. DP were groovy as fuck.

    If this didn’t dispel their previous reputation as a poppy band that plays with orchestras nothing could ever do it.
