Mate this is so satisfying. I've got the exact same car and I didn't think i could stop the rattling and vibration at the front dash without having to move the sound to the back half of the car haha. Will be doing this trick now. *Subscribed*
thats an easier way to access than what ive seen others do ! your way looks work without your dash falling apart ! i didnt know holden gave the ve a stash spot lol hahaha cheers for the video mate good work
Awesome dude I got a focal 4” that’s been gathering dust to put in there didn’t even know there was a hole under there (60th driver) will have to get a mesh
Should have left it there unplugged, or wire in a couple of capacitors on the two positive wires, something around 33uf would be good. Keeps the mids and imaging, protects it from bass(stops the rattles/distortion)
Is this same in wm grange ? The centre speaker ? I'm removing mine is it gonna be more quite ? I'm gonna, upgrade the amp and the 4 door speakers and maybe go after market unit
Mate are you saying if i take that speaker out sound improves for other speakers because i have new pioneers in and the sound quite frankly is still shat? What about the old tweeters and parcel shelf whoofers too?
my speaker was cracked and deteriorated badly and it worked a charm but now i don’t have sound for indicators? is there a fix or should i just get an aftermarket and what’s the connection type if so
Ur speaker didint sound that bad. Mine sounds bloody awful I haven't owned my ute for long but when I turned on the audio it sounded tinny and scratchy the last owner had a sub in it and must have turned all the base in the stock speakers to 0 now im going to try this after a play around with the settings Cheers mate👍🇦🇺
I got an 2016 c class, anyone know if I can pop out the center cover like this? I tried but failed thanks! I heard some vibration noice when it reach certain frequency😭
It's more an issue with the output of the stock head unit not the quality of the stock speaker, so this is actually the best option without going with a full new speaker amp and everything that goes along with that
Hi mate, i have a 2004 hilux single cab and i want to take out the two speakers and put in 4 with a sub. If i were to buy a sub with a built in amp would the be enough power for it all. Thanks.
Could just take a few minutes to listen to some music and use the equalizer to adjust sound. Never had trouble with my VE SS speaker,,,,,Just dialed down the mid range. I have heard its more for voice than music, phone, GPS etc
Obvious over time the sunlight streaming onto these speakers fucks them pretty quick ! The idea was flawed from the factory idealism straight off the bat when the car was new

This thing has driven me crazy for 10 years. Doing this tonight. Nice job

You can also replace it with an aftermarket speaker and it wont sound bad
Removed mine years ago , first thing I done when I bought my 've. Improves the sound 100%

Cheers bro, I got a VE and the speaker was already like that, now I know how to take it out

Thanks bro for the video much easier than I first thought, do you know how to change over interior light in the middle?

@@KustomProductions16 thanks!
What about just buying a better speaker to go in it's place?
mrslamdunkify he too lazy for that
It's more an issue with the output of the stock head unit not the quality of the stock speaker, so this is actually the best option without going with a full new speaker amp and everything that goes along with that
I’m confused 62? My series 2 omega only goes to 42?
My ve series 2 doesn't go past 50
What an absolute waste. I just packed foam between the speaker and cover and it’s completely suppressed the rattling
nice vid brother 👌🏽
bro can you help with w220 s320 1999 dash speaker
Is there a affordable 2 - 3 custom gauge holder that can slot into this center speaker spot?
$119 + postage
Why didn’t you replace it with better speakers?
Just wanted to try this hack first, then never got around to it
@@KustomProductions16 ok so I have a sel 2018 no speaker in it from factory. Am I able to put a speaker there with out running my own wire??
cheers bro

How did you go with it ?
Thanks buddy
No problem 👍
Just removed mine omw to get an after market speaker
I can’t get the fucking screws out
Could just take a few minutes to listen to some music and use the equalizer to adjust sound.
Never had trouble with my VE SS speaker,,,,,Just dialed down the mid range. I have heard its more for voice than music, phone, GPS etc
wetherman21 21 I am pretty sure SS’s and higher spec models got better audio or maybe that was just ssv
When are you getting a woofer?
Kustom Productions what matthew ziegeler is trying to say when are you getting a big speaker woofer is a nother word for it
Kustom Productions ok
Obvious over time the sunlight streaming onto these speakers fucks them pretty quick ! The idea was flawed from the factory idealism straight off the bat when the car was new
What about for a VE SSV Utedo the same I assume
Yes this will work for all ve models
At 2m38s "Yeah as if I'm going to download your music. At 3m49s video is paused and I'e listened to it 5 times already.
NONE OF MY SCREW DRIVERS WORK AND I CANT FIND A ALAN KEY LIKE THAT
Same
You could've easily shortened this 8:21 second video into 1 and a half minutes. Less talk, more work.
