Yes! Just changed it over and I have almost zero bump steer now. Awesome!

Hi Stuart. I am very pleased with the CMS so far, but have only tested it in 'the workshop' so far. But judging from the suspension articulation & steering travel I am seeing I do not expect any problems. TheStampede19 runs with one, and I have not seen him saying bad things about it. IMHO CMS + Panhard is all good :-)

Your truck is coming along bro. Looking awesome! Thumbs up.

Thanks for the reply. Aside from adding some spaers, you didn't have to purchase new links. Many thanks!

I was having the same issue with the bump steer and ended up adding the Level3 RC steering link and it completely eliminated it. It moves the mounting point for the drag link onto the steering link rather than the steering knuckle. Plus I got the extra strong one and it looks very nice.

Also forgot to add when I installed their steering link I didn't use the supplied drag link riser, I used one that was about 3/4 the size to avoid the link hitting the chassis.

Hi Branden. I'm guessing that with your new Level3-RC steering link you attached the drag link down towards the right hand of the truck? Drag link going down town to the right fixes the bump steer with the CMS (stock Rubicon geometry is draglink going down to the left of the truck and this fights against the pan-hard link which goes down to the right).
Anyhoo, glad you are liking your new bits :-)

Yes, you are correct. It goes to the right. I finally got a chance to take it out on the trails after doing quite few mods. It performs much better now without the bump steer issue. Keep up the great videos. I've been watching this build since the first upload and have loved it!

Hi Branden, thanks for your support :-) A bunch of (hopefully!) useful & entertaining videos in the works...

Nevermind! Just read the comments below and have my panhard setup same as your initial setup. Will change things around tonight.

Yeah, bump steer with the drag link going to the 'other side' of the axle than the panhard bar does results in nasty bump steer. Hopefully moving your drag link to connect down to the truck's right will solve it?

hi there i was wondering how the cms was working for you as ive ordered my one as i broke the servo wires were they come out the casing like you said in the vid and just want to make sure it wont happen again. thanks for any help

Love your instructional videos and am looking forward to the lighting chapter. I have the same Wrangler kit and was wondering, when using that panhard/servo mount kit did you need a longer servo horn? Also, did you need to change the front sterring link lengths or did the stock links work fine?

Hello Slippery, I am using the Axial metal servo horn and it works fine for both panhard and axle mounting the servo. Steering links: I did fractionally lengthen the drag bar (added a 2mm spacer at each end) and also raised it a bit (4mm spacer added to the joint between the drag bar and the main steering link) - details are in the video @ 11:07. Good luck!

For some reason my servo slides. It doesn’t sit tight like yours does. What did you do to keep it from moving?

I've been testing my almost completed kit and noticed that I get a lot of bump steer even though I'm using the Level 3 rc kit. Do you experience the same? When the wheels are on the ground my steering is at a different angle vs when off. I have to ajust my horn/sub trim to compensate. Not a huge problem, just something I'm not used to.

Hi! I've been watching your video, and I can see after installing panhard bar you still have 4 links. Is it correct? I installed it yesterday and removed two upper links (as I have read somewhere). I still haven't test it in the field, but it looks that panhard bar really replace the need for those links. Did you test without them? (some panhard bar kit for the scx has a support for only one upper link, but I thought this kit replaces them all).

Hi Ilker. You still need an upper link of some sort (3 or 4 link, your choice) with the Pan Hard bar. Otherwise there is too much force on the bar from impacts etc. on the front axle. I run 4-link + the Pan Hard. Ref. the Level3RC website "This kit includes a panhard bar to help improve your performance off road by providing an additional link from your axle to the chassis.": level3rc-store.com/axial-scx10-trucks-c-2/axial-scx10-chassis-mounted-servo-kit-with-panhard-bar-p-128.html

4WheelRCUK Ok, thank you very much! Then I'll better put the links back in their place... ;-)
