A team of special force ops, led by a tough but fair soldier, Major "Dutch" Schaefer, are ordered to assist CIA man, Colonel Al Dillon, on a rescue mission for potential survivors of a Helicopter downed over remote South American jungle. This deception turns out to be the least of their worries though, when they find themselves being methodically hunted by something not of this world.

Totally agree.
There's an important lesson i this scene. This thing killed his entire squad, but when he sees that the creature is no longer a threat (or at least thought so), he doesn't kill it out of anger. Humans are not the animals the Predator has tried to reduce us to. If something is no longer a treat to your life, put down the rock.

Best action movie ever made
One of the best movies EVER! The cast, the directing, the story everything is just pure class! Got me hooked from the first minutes and at awe in the last minutes! And as a fan of 80s movies eventhough I was still a "sperm" back then I think this is the only movie where Arnold's character as badass as he is got his ass kicked and barely survived! The Yautja (Predator species) for me to this date is one of the greatest extraterrestrials, the honor code, the hierarchy and overall complexity of this species is realistic and amazing

There is a rope attached to the bole, it would hook and tighten up predator toward the spikes while the bole fall down as a counterweight.
