How did you mount the bottom of the climber?
How are you retaining the spring loaded climber in the down/stowed position when the bot is powered off?
Bit late for a comment, but you can drill a hole and put a retaining pin in
How does the Falcon 500 and gear ratio play a part in keeping the robot in the air after being disabled?
I believe you can just put the motors in "brake mode." This puts power through the motor even after the match which holds it still.
@@kendan856 Thank you for letting me know so quickly!
@@kendan856(bit late for a comment, apologies) the brake mode (at least in most motor controllers) shorts the leads of the motor causing the spinning of the motor to generate back-emf, making the motor generate counter torque when spun. When robots are disabled, brake mode still works, but this no longer works when robots are powered off
What gear ratio was used for the lift?
16:1
@@EdArmy that's much lower than I expected. Do they have any videos where they show how they came up with that?
@@armaansengupta it’s just the suggested ratio by Andy mark
@@rally8520 ah, ok thanks
How did you guys stop the motor from back driving once you lifted up?
