The assembly for the 1 stage climber and the 2 stage climber winches are different, on account of there being a 0.5 inch difference in the extrusion they are meant to envelop. When you use only the 1 stage there is not much room to wrap the rope thru the holes and you can’t put the plate for the bearing on the inside.
