      I'm not even kidding I had to practice jumping both feet without skates to even begin to get comfortable jumping in skates. Then I had to get comfy jumping off small ledges. Now I'm working on jumping ON to small ledges. Even a little 6" jump scares me!! Thanks for the video!

    Sharing a tip for skaters who need to take the pressure off of their feet👣 when landing, gain confidence yet maintain ample practice:
    1. Jumping on flat surface with WELL padded sneakers (less pressure on my foot specifically my posterior tibial tendon) - (outdoors)
    2. Jumping on the mattress 🛌 (indoor)
    3. Padded mats in a gym [used for Physical Therapy and gymnastics 🤸‍♀️] (indoors)
    These practices have worked for me since I frequently pull tendons in my feet.
    Thank you, Goolie and Moxi for sharing this essential information and being so opened-minded to allow us all to share with one another. “Each one, teach one!” ☝🏾🙏🏾

    The tip at 4:09 🥇✅ Now that I’ve learned how crucial this is, I will take bending at the knees more seriously. You’ve confirmed it!
    Due to the lack of absorption in landing, I was putting a lot of pressure on my knees and would have saved myself from the stress and the tears that I was putting in my upper thigh muscles.
    But the experience has made me stronger and smarter.
    Thanks for sharing these informational videos designed for the skaters! ✅ I am looking forward for more!

    Thank you so much for sharing these helpful tips and tutorials! I've been working on my air jumps and trying to add more height for a few months now. I must admit, I've faced quite a bit of struggle because those heights can be a bit intimidating, So, I believe taking it step by step and getting comfortable with smaller obstacles first is the way to go. Once I'm at ease with those, I'll definitely be more confident to take on the next level.
    Love you Goolie!

    i have artistic skates with an artistic plate that is quite narrow, my wheels are 84A crush wheels. does the type of plate effect the landing of a jump? mine feel very wobbly doing a 180, or just a standing jump

    • @jolienjolienjolien
      @jolienjolienjolien 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Just read your comment and thinking out loud with you. Artistic skates tend to have a shorter wheelbase for quick pivoting and maybe your trucks are quite loose for that purpose too? The longer your wheel base is and the tighter your trucks, the more stable you will feel. There's no quick adjusting to the wheel base of your plate, but you can easily adjust the trucks! Just tighten your kingpin nut if you plan to hit gaps and see if that works for landing a bit less wobbly. (Start flat, obviously, to get used to the feeling of tighter trucks, before you take it to the gap)

    So Shove is going to forever be the only Black person Moxi hires or puts on the team? I have been following since 2019. All the scandals all the bs and you have yet to add another Black face to the picture. When I see Moxi I dont see a product or company marketed toward ppl who look like me. It's almost like yall have her there to check all the boxes, so you dont have to do much else. Fat, Black, Lesbian. I guess no other representation of those things are needed beyond her. Smh not a good look at all. I will say Moxi has been consistent with it, so I should just believe it at this point. Wish I could return all the products ive gotten throughout the years.

      Yeah ive heard this before. Ive spoken DIRECTLY to Estro Jen and nothing has changed. She even asked me for my instagram and never followed up! Your company is becoming a joke. Like I told her, you guys were put in a position to win, and put female skaters on the map in a male dominated area. Youve dropped the ball. idk how many years and how many ppl need to tell you. Also it's a slap in the face to ppl on the east coast how yall NEVER have anything in the major cities on the east coast. But yall love east coast money. Do better ALL around because yall suck. @@moxiskates
