  • We processed our chickens at 7 and a half weeks. It is a lot of work, but it is worth it for the quality of the meat.

That knife is EXCELLENT!!! And it sharpens very easily with the noted sharpener. Go into the Gagnon Mountain Homestead Amazon link and grab one!! Works wicked good for rabbit 🐇 too!!

I would fix an opening on top and reach through with a large fishing dip net and catch them.

Do you keep any records to see what it cost you to raise them. Would be interesting to see the cost. Have a great 4th of July weekend.

It averages to a little less than $10 a bird. More expensive than grocery store chicken, but so much better!

@@AmericanAdventuresTJ I was justWhat Curious to what the cost was. I agree with you it’s far superior to what you can buy commercially. Be safe and God bless

The washing machine idea is genius. Where do the feathers come out?

Is it necessary to add water while the chicken is being pluck

Curious how you get all the feathers to drain? Is there a hole in the side of the drum? I am planning on making a chicken plucker out of my old washing machine!

The feathers go under the round plate. There is a whole cut in the side of the machine. Most of the6 flow out, but we do have to reach on and clean them out at the end.
