Bro what he used is a pedal commander.. it will not increase any power or torque.. it will only enhance acceleration so that you can reach the power band (for eg 2000 rpm to 500rpm) quickly. It will reduce the engine lag for sure but the power and torque remains same..
Another downside of pedal commanders on automatic transmission is there is a slight chance of causing damage to gear box if we are not using correct and proper one cos gear shifts might not be in a proper way.
If you need better engine performance you should tone the engine. It will change the power and torque figures..
So before looking upto this eg: set by this jimny owner you should understand your requirements. If you make any changes on your engine the insurance company can void your claim if occurred any..
ECU will read it it whether is toned / de toned/ pedal commander… Good to see an off-road enthusiast here..
