That is a bullhead catfish. I currently have 2 bullheads in an aquarium. They r so awesome. Except when the light is on, it looks like an empty tank, cause all they do is hide in their logs. But, as soon as I turn off the tank light, they almost instantly come out and sift through the sand looking for food. Really cool to watch!!
I’ve been keeping wild bluegill for a long time and one thing I know is you can only have about 4-5 small ones for a 29 gallon. Once they reach about 5-6 inches they start to become territorial and aggressive towards everything else
The first fish was a green sunfish and the second was a bullhead catfish. I catch the exact same species you got in my area. I live in the Dallas area.
DebTim A CANADIAN Girl I caught one with a bucket after my grandmas dog barked at it (I didn’t see it just scooped with a bucket blindly) it was about the same size I live in Michigan talk about a rarity and that fish was living within 5 feet of a musky.
Hi Cheese! That is really cool. Going in blind like that is funny. Never know what you will come up with. When we were kids at the cottage we used to catch mud-puppies. That was always a blast. I would love to catch one of these for my community tank! Thanks for sharing!!💦💞😁🌎
Jackie Yang flatheads have brown and black and white splotches and speckles. it's a black bullhead catfish and bullhead aren't as aggressive as your saying. they are very timid and shy and like to hide out alot.
The reason all the fish are tripping is because the tank Is way too small for all of them. A good rule of thumb is 1 inch of fish per gallon of water in your tank
You need to be VERY careful casting for fish to put in your aquarium. Most states do not allow this and some species are illegal to even possess. This is a big deal with so many invasive species moving through our systems. Just be careful man.
It’s kinda better if you keep invasive species of fish because invasive means that they are not originally from the wild 😜 so if he take them out he is actually helping the environment
You generally don't need to clean canister filters more than once a year. Maybe once every 6 months if the fish are really making a huge mess, but unless the flow is diminished, don't bother cleaning it. Also, don't wash the media in tap water, it will kill off your biological, so only rinse it in tank water.
I worked 8 yrs in a tropical fish store and about a year servicing salt and fresh water aquariums. One service account had a couple of Lg. Mouth Bass in a 75 gallon and fed his fish lg. feeder goldfish. I did a 20 waterchange every 3-4 weeks and cleaned the filter. The bass where healthy. If you use feeder goldfish buy the large ones and hold on to them and make sure they get fed for a few days since feeders at a petstore has a high turnover and aren't fed well.
Thats a really tight space for the bluegills/sunfish, the bass minnows and the catfish. Feed one of the smaller bluegill to your bass not the baby bluegill.
@MasterAquatics That catfish is actually a Yellow Bullhead Catfish.. They're really cool, low Maintenance and very laxxed fish. Only tip is they will eat ANYTHING that fits in their mouth. So careful what to keep them with. Besides that, they also don't like bright light. So it might not come during the day.
I am just 12 year old , my name is Dhivaan , I use my mother's account, I have two tanks, one angelfish tank ,one flowerhorn tank,I live in Malaysia, I think you should keep your bass in a pond ,I know few youtubers that keep large mouth bass , they only keep them in a pond.
Libby Chong don't bother He acts like he knows a lot but knows barely anything Keeping a lot of fish in a tiny 29 g and plus having a bass in a small tank The catfish is really stressed since it does not have a hide
Check out Bama Bass they have a 300 gallon tank dedicated to their two bass, Bonnie and Clyde, and one bluegill, Sherrif, and a few crayfish. It might be a 500 gallon tank, I forget the size of it now.

looks like a channel fry but in a few months if he is 3ft then you'll know for sure. if you put him in a tank he will break the glass or thin acrylic. just be warned
The film on his gills is normal I fish for bass all the time and almost every bass I catch has that and when a bass is stressed there patters will actually get very vivid like the dots and the horizontal stripes on them will get very pronounced when stressed
So when you catch wild fish and put them in your aquarium do you use water Alchemy first to get them adjusted to the aquarium water or do you just put them in so long as the aquarium water is clean
7:43 I think that little guy is sad that he doesn't have bass chasing him and threatening his life on a daily is all...I suggest you put him in with Albert. Subscribed!

Hey man, no judgment, you do you, but I watch a lot of "King of DIY" and he has a couple of videos on training predatory fish (arowana in his case) to take dead meat. He buys shrimp and fish when it's on sale, chops it up, freezes it in flat sheets in ziplock bags and defrosts as needed. He makes a point that you risk parasites and other things by feeding live fish. He recently had new fish that had been quarantined for 6 weeks before they showed that they were carrying ick. Just thought I'd mention it in case you were interested. Either way, he's got some cool videos if you haven't seen him.
Wow, there is no such fish called a Redear slider. Your baby catfish is a Yellow Bullhead. And the two sunfish are Green Sunfish. The golden colored sunfish looks like a Redear sunfish. The others appear to be bluegill and either Longear or Redbreast sunfish. Not sure where you are from so can't say for sure. Plus I could use a better look at them to get a better ID. Not sure how big that tank is but it does appear small for your bass.
Sorry, but near end of video you state that "Albert looks healthy and vibrant". I saw the complete opposite, his color was dark, fins were down.......this bass appears to be in less than good condition, along with the condition of the water you provide.
I don’t know how you keep blue gill. When I put blue gill on my tank they always jump out, or try to. Then I end up releasing them because they will swim up the corner of my aquarium and jump and injure themselves on the lid of my aquarium.
Bass dont loose color due to being stressed there skin will change color due to what there kept in if there is alot of alge bass will start to turn really pale if they are in vonditions like there tank there skin will get darker
The fish that are different from the bluegills aren’t bluegill they may be a type of hybrid sunfish , bluegill ALWAYS have the blue dot by their gills,
You can try feeding Albert some large Hykari stiks, the live food alternative, it provides more nutrition for your fish and helps build up the immune system. Live worms and fish as food can have parasites and pathogens!
way too many fish in the tank. just keep one 2-3 inch bluegill/redbreast sunfish, the shiners, and the catfish until it gets to about 6 inches then release it. ( its not a red-eared slider that's a turtle. it's a redbreast sunfish)
Dude another thing catfish don't sting you they just have spines that are not venomous yes they hurt but they're not venomous it's not like a bee sting
Red Eared Sunfish* Is what I think you meant to say (or pumpkinseed). A Red Eared Slider is a turtle. That catfish looks like a Yellow Bullhead. Their three spines, two fins on the side and the one on the top do have a toxin or venom of sorts which can "sting" you. (It'll hurt a lot when you get poked but thats about it)
A bit overcrowded you know. Kinda surprise you would put that many fish into the 29 gallon. Since you are an aquarist. I know this tank was temporary but still, you shouldn't have overcrowded the tank.
Charlie Yang hi. A 29 gallon is a decent sized tank. it can keep a dozen small to medium sized fish if you have hardy fish like these guys. But these fish are not living in the 29. They are going to be eaten by my largemouth bass lol.
MasterAquatics Just because it will hold that many fish and that they will live it doesn't mean they are healthy. I understand you're feeding them to your Bass soon but id recommend using feeder fish of some sort. They don't have spines so it is easier for them to swallow. Also getting feeder fish decreases the chance of disease.
A red ear slider is a turtle
no shit, sherlock.
FR NO SHIT
same i said the same thing bro!! and if your a master aquatic you would know that !!
I was hold up red ear slider is a ninja turtle bruh
I was wondering why he was saying that. Same thin went into my head
1:21 😂 a red ear slider is a type of turtle
And btw your catfish is a American yellow bullhead
That is a bullhead catfish. I currently have 2 bullheads in an aquarium. They r so awesome. Except when the light is on, it looks like an empty tank, cause all they do is hide in their logs. @@huntersyoutube7281 i agree bullheads are the best. I have 2 little black bullheads that'll be going into a pond soon.

Nice but a red ear slider is a turtle😂 I think you mean red ear sunfish. Nice vid tho

Yeah its a yellow bullhead i think

Sprite the Bird its a yellow bellied mud cat (AKA cat fish or bull head :\)
J.B. Angling yep that’s what it is it’s a whit bull head catfish
Hi Mas!! That little kitten is AMAZING!! That's really a rarity. He's the best!! =D Wishing you a wonderful New Year!! =D ♥♥

You NEED to feed that big bass some bluegill. They don’t have a huge mouth just to eat guppies
Albino Catfish? Man that‘s not an albino, it‘s some type of bullhead catfish
Fred A. O. It’s a yellow bull head
Nah bro I think thats a flathead cause bullhead are more aggressive.
It’s not a flathead
It is
Jackie Yang flatheads have brown and black and white splotches and speckles. it's a black bullhead catfish and bullhead aren't as aggressive as your saying. they are very timid and shy and like to hide out alot.
The reason all the fish are tripping is because the tank Is way too small for all of them. A good rule of thumb is 1 inch of fish per gallon of water in your tank

THEY ARENT ILLEGAL TO KEEP IN A TANK ANYWHERE IN THE US TO MY KNOWLEDGE HAHAHA IDIOT
It’s kinda better if you keep invasive species of fish because invasive means that they are not originally from the wild 😜 so if he take them out he is actually helping the environment

not true. if they are in the legal size limits you can take them
Yellow bull head catfish
Awesome vids mate , keep them coming.

Sean S-S hi sean. Thank you for the advice. Appreciate you watching.
That “baby bluegill “ is a green sunfish
I dont think you know your fish very well lol
Needs at least a 75. Minimum. A 125-200 would be great for these.
Gallons if that wasn't clear.

Baby bullhead aka yellow belly. Great big catfish (shovelhead and blue) bait.

You got your self a bull cat fish
U should add a powerful aquarium circulation fan it help keep the bass happy the enjoy the flow and it helps me with cleaning the substrate

For Albert, I've never cleaned a bass that didn't have a crayfish in its stomach. That might be a nice treat once in a while.
It is either a yellow bullhead or a yellow speckled madtom catfish they are common but very hard to catch and stay small
Its called a "Mad Tom" catfish. They stay little and Ive seen hundreds in WVa in South Branch Potomac River.
That's yellow bullhead for sure you can tell by its tail it looks like a drywall scraper not the traditional v shape and its oversized head and eyes with pointed bone under the aposal fin and rusty tan yellow color,I catch em all the time here, typically 10-12" but will reach 14-16" and weigh 2-3 lbs. your catfish is the black bullhead, indicated by the bronzish irredescent green sheen, plus the body style.
a lot of the largemouth bass i catch like eating crayfish. Maybe give him a Cray fish and remove the claws if youre worried about injuries
It’s a yellow bull head, nice catch
Looks too cold for me. Cute little fish!
Yellow mud cat they often live in brackish water and don't get very big so great aquarium fish
Bullhead catfish. Got one myself and he’s 8in now.

Cool
Might try a powerhead for more moving water.
I would clip the two side spines n the one in the top fin if you are going to feed him the the bass buddy
Get yourself some crawfish or shrimp from your local pretty store and they'll help keep your tank cleaner
Sorry, but near end of video you state that "Albert looks healthy and vibrant". I saw the complete opposite, his color was dark, fins were down.......this bass appears to be in less than good condition,

The extra skin on the gills is suppose to be there
the aquarium is fine for the bass as long as you have very little decorations
when you where comparing the catfish with the bluegill, the bluegill is actually a green sunfish or hybrid
I caught a baby peacock, well there were about 100 wild peacocks attacking my empty hook... but it was a diy hook so they went flyyyyyiiiing
Your catfish is a Bullhead Catfish. They grow to a little over 12 inches.
Red-eared slider is a type of turtle. I do believe that is called a red-eared sunfish.
Feed it blue gill or any smaller fish
Devante Bailey
You should put a bunch of plants and some make some rock hides. They would be much more comfortable
Cool video I love to see you cast net also
The color thing you were talking about does not apply to bass bass change colors to blend in with their habitat
I don’t know how you keep blue gill. When I put blue gill on my tank they always jump out, or try to. Then I end up releasing them because they will swim up the corner of my aquarium and jump and injure themselves on the lid of my aquarium.
red ear slider is a species of turtle., not a fish. the catfish is a Mudcat. how ur name "Master aquatics" when u noob?
Gary Johnson its both
Mud cat is usauly used to refer a catfish fish it honestly looked like a brown bullhead may be wrong
And I think he meant red ear sunfish
ur right
Gary Johnson the catfish is a bullhead 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The catfish is almost certainly a yellow bullhead, I'd have to see some more of him swimming around to be sure.
Looks like a long head catfish or bullhead they will outgrow your aquarium
Cute gloves 😂
Nice vid can you make more of this type of vids? 😄
Its a brown bullhead, i have one about the same size and they grow fast
Bass dont loose color due to being stressed there skin will change color due to what there kept in if there is alot of alge bass will start to turn really pale if they are in vonditions like there tank there skin will get darker
The fish that are different from the bluegills aren’t bluegill they may be a type of hybrid sunfish , bluegill ALWAYS have the blue dot by their gills,
Why do you let the Tanks get so dirty??
Red eared slider is a turtle
I think you mean redear sunfish or shellcracker
I think that catfish is a yellowbelly bullhead catfish👍🎣
You can try feeding Albert some large Hykari stiks, the live food alternative, it provides more nutrition for your fish and helps build up the immune system. Live worms and fish as food can have parasites and pathogens!
My man caught a nice type of baby catfish and fed it to a bass
that catfish is a yellow bullhead catfish (or a brown bullhead catfish)
Does he clean his tank?
hubby had a large mouth bass once upon a time - we fed him frogs, deformed/weak chicks, smaller fish and trout pellets
That sun fish is a berch.i have a baby one in my 175 galllon

Fuckyou Liberalscum in my area 14 inches or more is ok to keep.
Ya also the tank is to small your supposed to have a 50 gallon for like 3 or 4 blue gill you also hav bass so u need like a 75 or 80
way too many fish in the tank. just keep one 2-3 inch bluegill/redbreast sunfish, the shiners, and the catfish until it gets to about 6 inches then release it. ( its not a red-eared slider that's a turtle. it's a redbreast sunfish)
